At just 10 years old, Kaelyn Crespo already knows exactly what makes her happiest, performing. Whether she’s acting on stage, singing, dancing with her longtime dance family, or stepping in front of the camera, Kaelyn has discovered that entertaining others is where she truly belongs.
Growing up in Youngsville, New York, Kaelyn balances school with dance classes, sports, Girl Scouts, and spending time with family. She loves swimming, playing soccer and basketball, hanging out with friends, and making memories with her baby cousin, Patrick. At home, she’s never far from her beloved cat, Nala, who has been a constant source of comfort and companionship throughout her childhood.
Now, after experiencing iPOP!, Kaelyn is more determined than ever to turn her dreams into reality.
Discovering Her Passion
For as long as she can remember, Kaelyn has loved making people smile.
“I’ve always enjoyed entertaining people,” she says. “When I get to pretend to be someone else and see how much people enjoy watching me, it makes me want to do it even more.”
Her love for performing naturally grew into acting and singing, while modeling has become a newer creative adventure, she’s excited to continue exploring. She has also appeared in two local theatre productions, giving her valuable experience on stage and strengthening her confidence as a performer.
Following in Inspiring Footsteps
Kaelyn’s journey to iPOP! began while taking acting classes with Robert Vito through NYLA Talent. When she learned that one of her biggest inspirations, Ariana Grande, had once attended iPOP!, she knew she wanted to experience it for herself.
“If Ariana Grande went to iPOP!, I wanted to go too.”
Looking back, some of her favorite memories include performing before a large audience, meeting new friends from around the country, and celebrating at the event’s dance party. Standing on stage only confirmed what she had been feeling all along.
“It made me feel like I was meant to be there.”
Big Hollywood Dreams
When asked who inspires her most, Kaelyn immediately mentions Millie Bobby Brown. She admires not only her acting career but also her kindness and compassion, especially her love for animals. One day, Kaelyn hopes she’ll have the opportunity to work alongside her idol.
“My dream would be to star in a movie with Millie Bobby Brown.”
She would also love to meet Ariana Grande, whose music and career continue to motivate her as she pursues both acting and singing. If Hollywood called tomorrow, Kaelyn already knows exactly what she’d choose.
A television series similar to Stranger Things, Sam & Cat, or Victorious. Even bigger still, she dreams of starring in her own Disney Channel series someday.
Creative On and Off the Stage
Creativity doesn’t stop when the cameras turn off. Kaelyn enjoys creative writing, songwriting, poetry, and making art, often taking simple materials and transforming them into imaginative projects. She also continues training in dance at Rhythm & Grace Dance Studio, where she has spent the past six years developing her skills and building friendships she describes as family. Dance remains one of her favorite ways to express herself.
This year, she’ll also begin learning the clarinet at school, following in her mother’s musical footsteps. Outside of performing, Kaelyn enjoys swimming, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and serving her community through Girl Scouts, where she enjoys helping others whenever she can.
Working Hard for Every Opportunity
Attending iPOP! was something Kaelyn worked incredibly hard to achieve. Now that she’s experienced it, she’s even more motivated to continue chasing her goals. One of the messages she repeats to herself whenever challenges arise comes directly from her dance studio.
“Good, better, best. Never let it rest until the good gets better and the better gets best.”
She also reminds herself to stay true to who she is and never worry about what other people think.
“If I had one message to give myself, it would be not to care what other people think of me and to love me for me.”
Inspired to Make a Difference
Although Kaelyn dreams of a successful acting career, fame has never been her only goal. She hopes that one day, if she becomes successful, she’ll be able to give back by supporting charities and helping people in need.
Making a positive difference in the lives of others is just as important to her as achieving her own dreams.
When asked to describe herself in one word, her answer is immediate. Unstoppable. And if she had to choose three words? Creative. Unique. Expressive. Those qualities shine through both on and off the stage.
Looking Ahead
Over the next year, Kaelyn hopes to achieve one incredible goal. Landing a role in a movie seen by audiences all over the world. She knows it will take dedication, patience, and hard work, but she isn’t afraid of the journey ahead. Her advice to other young performers is simple but powerful.
“Just be yourself and never give up.”
When people finish reading her story, Kaelyn hopes they’ll remember one thing.
“Remember my name, because one day I’m going to change the world.”
