For Jacqueline Rocco, the journey into entertainment isn’t the beginning of her story, it’s the continuation of a life defined by leadership, resilience, and a commitment to making a difference. Born in Puerto Rico and proudly of Dominican heritage, Jacqueline has spent more than three decades as an educator and professor, dedicating her career to helping others reach their potential. She is also the founder of the Hispanic Heritage Association, a nonprofit organization that celebrates culture while serving communities through education, outreach, and advocacy.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jacqueline is a six-year breast cancer survivor, the proud mother of a young autistic adult son, and has shared more than thirty-three years of marriage with her husband. Every chapter of her life has strengthened her belief that purpose is found in serving others, and that dreams are worth pursuing at every stage of life. Today, she is bringing that same passion and determination to acting and modeling.
A Performer Long Before the Spotlight
Jacqueline’s love for performing began in childhood. Growing up with numerous siblings, including six from her parents, creativity became a way of life.
“My sisters and I would create skits, reenact scenes from movies, and even turn our hallway into a runway after watching the Miss USA pageant.”
Without realizing it, those childhood games were laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for storytelling. Years later, that passion came full circle when Jacqueline was cast as Carmen in Josefina López’s acclaimed play Real Women Have Curves. The experience reignited something she had carried with her since childhood.
“I realized acting had never really left me.”
Stepping onto the iPOP! Stage
Jacqueline’s journey to iPOP! began while training with Model and Talent Management (MTM). After participating in an audition showcase, she expected to wait twenty-four hours for the results. Instead, she received her callback the very same day.
“I was ecstatic.”
Attending iPOP! became another defining moment. Meeting fellow performers, connecting with industry professionals, and discovering a community of people chasing similar dreams reminded Jacqueline that there is room in the entertainment industry for authentic stories and authentic people. Perhaps most encouraging was realizing that agents, producers, and casting professionals genuinely appreciated her work and saw value in her life experience.
Stories That Matter
While Jacqueline would happily work across film, television, commercials, and streaming platforms, she has one dream that stands above the rest. She hopes to portray a strong Hispanic woman in a true story, one that honors resilience, heritage, and the contributions of Hispanic American women. As someone fluent in Spanish, English, and French, with plans to learn Portuguese, Jacqueline hopes to bring multilingual and multicultural storytelling to audiences around the world.
“My goal is to tell stories that connect people while honoring where we come from.”
Whether through Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, or independent productions, she hopes every project reflects authenticity and purpose.
Leadership Beyond Entertainment
Outside of acting, Jacqueline’s life has been built around education, leadership, and community service. She earned advanced degrees in Education and Organizational Leadership, mastered French as a third language, and founded the Hispanic Heritage Association, where she continues creating programs that celebrate culture while serving local communities. She also enjoys cooking, journaling, reading, swimming, taking nature walks, and is currently learning to play the Puerto Rican cuatro, embracing yet another way to stay connected to her heritage. For Jacqueline, creativity isn’t limited to acting. It’s woven into every aspect of her life.
Strength Through Adversity
When asked about her greatest accomplishments, Jacqueline doesn’t point to awards or titles. Instead, she reflects on the experiences that required courage. Beating breast cancer. Returning to her lifelong passion for acting. Building a nonprofit organization from the ground up. Earning multiple advanced degrees while continuing to serve others. Each achievement represents another reminder that perseverance often creates life’s greatest opportunities.
Inspired by Faith and Family
Jacqueline credits three sources of inspiration that continue to guide her journey. Her faith. Her late mother, whom she describes as her greatest champion. And her husband, whose unwavering support has carried her through every milestone. She often reminds herself of a promise she made after surviving breast cancer.
“You survived breast cancer, and you promised yourself a life of adventure, opportunity, love, and happiness. Walk in faith, because what God aligns for your good, no one can tear apart.”
It is a message that influences every decision she makes.
Looking Toward the Future
Over the next year, Jacqueline hopes to continue building recognition within the entertainment industry while expanding opportunities as both an actress and model. More importantly, she hopes her story reminds others that dreams never have an expiration date. Her advice to anyone hesitant to pursue their goals is both heartfelt and empowering.
“Learn to love and believe in yourself. Trust that you already carry what it takes inside you and surround yourself with people who support you unconditionally.”
When asked what she hopes people remember after reading her story, Jacqueline’s answer reflects the life she has already lived.
“I want people to remember that it is never too late to pursue your dreams, honor your heritage, and lead a life filled with resilience, purpose, and joy.”
For Jacqueline Rocco, success isn’t measured solely by the roles she books. It’s measured by the lives she touches, the stories she tells, and the legacy she leaves behind. And as this exciting new chapter begins, she is proving that experience, faith, and determination may be some of the most powerful qualities any performer can bring to the screen.
