The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has opened self-slot selection for candidates taking the Junior Engineer (JE) and Sub-Inspector (SI) exams in 2025. Now, candidates can choose their preferred exam city and date on the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
To use this option, candidates must log in to their SSC dashboard and select their choices within the given time frame.
- For Junior Engineer (JE) Exam: Slot selection is open from November 10 to November 13, 2025, till 11 pm.
- For Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police and CAPFs: Slot selection is available from November 17 to November 21, 2025, till 11 pm.
Once candidates submit their preferred slot, no changes will be allowed later. If someone does not select a slot by the deadline, the system will automatically assign one based on the options chosen during the application process or on availability. The SSC’s decision on slot allocation will be final.
The JE and SI exams will take place in December 2025. There are 5,308 vacancies for the Junior Engineer exam, and the same number of positions are available for the Sub-Inspector (SI) exam in Delhi Police and CAPFs.
Candidates should check the official SSC website often for updates and make sure to complete their slot selection before the deadline.
