Well, my gosh, you are certainly blowing up as we speak worldwide. we have seen so much about your rise in the music industry, its awesome how much your accomplishing with your hit single Fashion Killa.
FIRST OFF, HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE ANNOUNCED THE NEXT TO BLOW BY HIP HOP WEEKLY?
Omg it feels like a blessing, especially since hip hop weekly is such a huge establishment in the music industry, so to receive that is an honor. I am very humbled by the love they have shown me. I have been making music for years working really hard, so I’m thankful for all the recognition that is pouring down on me.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE FASHION KILLA? WHAT IS THE MESSAGE YOU WANTED TO GET ACROSS?
At the time I really wanted to embrace my own style in a fashion sense and overall my energy as an artist. My inner expression came through strongly and I felt inspired to write fashion killa. When I heard the beat immediately, the lyrics “I’m a fashion killa oh yea” came to my mind, the process was very natural. I want people to embody their own style no matter what anybody says. That it’s important to be unapologetic themselves and confident.
HOW DID YOU BEGIN YOUR MUSICAL JOURNEY?
Well, initially I was a dancer and grew up being on the dance teams from elementary all the way through high school. However, in my senior year of high school, I wrote my very first song called Wicked For You and the rest was history, at that moment I decided I wanted to pursue music. Besides, I had always loved music and knew I loved performing on stage.
WITH THE PANDEMIC AT THE CENTER OF THE WORLD RIGHT NOW HAS IT AFFECTED SOME OF YOUR UPCOMING PLANS? ANY NEW PROJECTS WE SHOULD LOOK FORWARD TO?
Covid 19 has certainly affected some of my plans with live performances because most of everything is still limited on lockdown. But I am still able to move forward with my new projects. I’m thrilled to reveal that I have a new creative performance project designed by me, I call Ravoshia’s Mannequin Performance style 101 also known as RMPS101. It will be showcased in my new single Mastermind coming this fall. I believe these projects are something fresh and different for the world to see and hear.
