Plain Mister Smith Releases ‘Dream Gigantic’ Featuring Findlay Brown and Krystle Dos Santos

Canadian musician Plain Mister Smith has released his latest single, “Dream Gigantic,” offering listeners a warm, cinematic soundtrack inspired by the romance of summer and the beauty of Paris. The song, released on June 26 through Amelia Records and Symphonic Records, serves as the latest preview of his forthcoming sophomore album, Bric-a-Brac attack, which is set to arrive later this summer.

Known for blending indie pop, folk, and atmospheric soundscapes, Plain Mister Smith continues to build on a reputation that has earned praise from publications including 1883 Magazine, CLASH, Wonderland, NOTION, and Under the Radar.

Inspired by a post-Olympic visit to Paris, “Dream Gigantic” captures the feeling of wandering through quiet streets, enjoying long summer days, and sharing unforgettable moments with someone special. The track combines acoustic drums, lush keyboards, and a groovy bass line to create a bright yet cinematic listening experience.

The single also features guest appearances from Findlay Brown and JUNO Award-winning singer Krystle Dos Santos. Brown brings his signature folk-inspired style, while Dos Santos adds soulful R&B and jazz influences, creating a rich vocal contrast throughout the song.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the release, Plain Mister Smith said he wanted to capture “that sense of balmy exuberance” that comes with spending summer with someone you love, whether in a Paris café, a Tokyo park, or even on the New York subway.

Before launching his solo career, Plain Mister Smith was the guitarist for Canadian darkwave band Moev and is also a cellist with the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra. His diverse musical background continues to shape his distinctive sound.

With Bric-a-Brac attack expected later this summer, “Dream Gigantic” offers an exciting glimpse into the next chapter of Plain Mister Smith’s evolving musical journey.
