The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has announced the full schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026. The exam will take place on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, as a computer-based test at various centres across India.

GATE 2026 Exam Dates and Shift Timings
GATE 2026 will be conducted over four days, with two sessions each day:
Forenoon Session: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
Afternoon Session: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

GATE 2026 Admit Card and Exam Centre Information
Admit cards will be available on the official website before the exam. Candidates must:
- Download and check all details carefully
- Verify name, paper code, exam date, shift and centre address
- Reach the exam centre at least 60 minutes before the session begins
- Carry the admit card along with a valid government ID
Entry will not be allowed without proper identification.
Important Exam Day Guidelines
- GATE 2026 will be conducted fully in computer-based mode
- Only the virtual calculator on the exam screen is allowed
- Personal calculators, phones, watches and electronic devices are strictly prohibited
- Candidates must follow all security and exam-day instructions
