Social impact footwear brand Toms has announced the appointment of Jessica Alsing as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 8, 2025. Known for its strong commitment to purpose-driven business, Toms is now preparing for a new era under Alsing’s leadership, one that blends nostalgia, innovation, and social responsibility.

Alsing has been working closely with the Los Angeles-based brand as a consultant for the past few months. With nearly two decades of experience in the footwear and fashion industry, she brings deep expertise in digital marketing, global brand strategy, and international business growth. Her leadership is expected to guide Toms through its next phase of expansion while staying true to its mission of making a positive social impact.

Speaking about her new role, Alsing shared her excitement about the company’s future. “In 2026, Toms celebrates twenty years since its now-iconic alpargatas first became a sensation,” she said. “With nostalgia trending and slip-ons being so popular today, I believe there’s never been a better time to reintroduce our signature alpargatas and deepen our leadership in espadrilles, building off the Toms essence of endless summer.”

Her words reflect a clear vision: bringing back what made Toms special while adapting it to modern consumer tastes. By focusing on the comfort, versatility, and sustainable values that have defined Toms since its founding, Alsing hopes to reconnect the brand with loyal fans and attract a new generation of conscious shoppers.

Before joining Toms, Jessica Alsing spent nearly a decade at Crocs Inc., where she served as Vice President of International Digital Commerce. She played a key role in expanding Crocs’ global presence and growing its online business during a period of major transformation for the company. Most recently, she worked as Chief Digital Officer at Grendene Global Brands, which owns popular footwear names like Melissa Shoes, Ipanema, and Rider.

Toms board member Thomas Brady expressed strong confidence in her appointment. “Toms is an iconic brand that has inspired millions and set the standard for purpose in business,” he said. “With Jessica’s extensive experience leading global footwear companies and her proven ability to drive both growth and impact, we’re confident she is the right leader to propel Toms into its next generation.”

Founded in 2006, Toms became famous for its “One for One” model, where every pair of shoes purchased meant a pair donated to someone in need. Over the years, the company has evolved its giving model, focusing on long-term community impact. To date, Toms has donated over $200 million in shoes, grants, and support to nonprofits worldwide. Each purchase now contributes to improving children’s education, mental health, and overall well-being.

As Toms approaches its 20th anniversary, Jessica Alsing steps in at a defining moment. Her challenge will be to blend the company’s rich legacy of compassion with modern retail strategies that appeal to today’s socially aware consumers.

With her experience, vision, and leadership, Alsing’s appointment signals a renewed chapter for Toms, one where style meets purpose, and every pair of shoes continues to make a difference.
