Growing up in New Castle, Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh, Jordie Emerich has always loved performing. Alongside her twin sister, Delaney, she has spent years developing her skills in modeling, acting, competitive cheerleading, and athletics. But while the sisters share many of the same passions, Jordie is quickly discovering her own path, one built on confidence, determination, and a fearless willingness to challenge herself.
The past week she spent at iPOP!, with NYLA Talent, that hard work paid off as Jordie celebrated major accomplishments while continuing to pursue her dream of a career in television and film.
The Photoshoot That Changed Everything
For Jordie, everything began with one memorable photoshoot. When she was younger, her mother arranged for both girls to model for Little Creative Factory with photographer Marliese Carmona in Mount Dora, Florida. It was their first professional experience working for a designer, and it opened Jordie’s eyes to an entirely new world.
“It was our first real photoshoot,” she recalls.
Working alongside experienced models taught her what professional modeling looked like, but the biggest surprise came later. Those photographs led to her very first magazine cover with My Little Matilda Magazine. Seeing herself on the cover became a defining moment. It wasn’t just exciting; it motivated her to dream even bigger.
Discovering iPOP!
Like many first-time attendees, Jordie didn’t initially know what iPOP! was all about.
She and Delaney first auditioned through NYLA Talent simply hoping to earn representation.
Once they learned they had been selected to attend and started watching videos from previous events, they immediately realized how special the opportunity could be. Throughout the week, Jordie especially looked forward to performing during the fashion showcase and attending the Awards Gala, where she could celebrate alongside so many talented young performers.
Chasing Hollywood Dreams
Jordie’s ultimate dream is to become a leading actress. She would love to play the main character in a scary movie, combining suspense with emotionally driven storytelling. If Hollywood called tomorrow, however, she’d gladly accept a role in a television series, where she could continue developing a character over multiple seasons.
One actress she particularly admires is Raegan Revord, who plays Missy Cooper in Young Sheldon.
She also looks up to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, inspired by how the famous twins built remarkable careers after beginning in entertainment at such a young age.
Always Ready for the Challenge
Away from the camera, Jordie leads an incredibly active life. She is a competitive All-Star cheerleader, performing as both a flyer and tumbler on two different teams while also playing softball. The discipline required to balance athletics with acting has taught her valuable lessons about commitment, teamwork, and perseverance. She also enjoys swimming, spending time outdoors with friends, and relaxing with her family’s two dogs, Odin and Jack. In addition to her athletic training, Jordie continues taking acting classes to strengthen her skills and prepare for future auditions.
A Winning Week
iPOP! proved to be an unforgettable experience. Jordie earned First Place in the Self-Tape Competition, recognizing both her preparation and her on-camera performance. She also placed Second in the Headshot Competition, another accomplishment that reflected her growing confidence in front of the camera.
On top of her competition success, she participated in the runway showcase, gaining even more valuable experience performing before industry professionals. For Jordie, it was a week filled with growth, encouragement, and exciting milestones.
Inspired by Family
When asked who inspires her most, Jordie immediately points to her mother. She admires her work ethic, kindness, and unwavering encouragement. Watching her mother work hard every day reminds Jordie to stay focused on her own goals while always treating others with respect. Before every performance, runway walk, or competition, she repeats the same simple words to herself.
“I can do this.”
It’s a reminder that confidence begins long before stepping into the spotlight.
Looking Ahead
Over the next year, Jordie hopes to land a supporting or leading role in a feature film while continuing to develop her skills as both an actress and model. She knows success doesn’t happen overnight, but she’s committed to continuing the work that has already brought her this far.
Her advice to other young performers is one she lives by herself.
“Never take yourself too seriously. Stay confident, stay kind, and always be yourself.”
When asked how she hopes people remember her, Jordie’s answer reflects both her personality and her outlook on life. She hopes to be remembered as someone who encourages others, embraces every opportunity with enthusiasm, and approaches every challenge with confidence and kindness. For Jordie Emerich, iPOP! wasn’t simply another event. It became proof that hard work, preparation, and believing in yourself can open doors to opportunities that once seemed impossible. And with every performance, every audition, and every new experience, she’s continuing to build a career that’s entirely her own.
