For Celexus Edwards, a passion for modeling began with a simple thought while watching other young performers online.
“I could do that!”
It was a moment that planted the seed for a dream that has continued to grow ever since. Today, the Texas native is preparing to take one of the biggest steps in her young career as she heads to iPOP!, where she’ll have the opportunity to showcase her talents before entertainment industry professionals.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Celexus moved with her family to Hollywood, California, in 2023 in pursuit of new opportunities and what she describes as the “American Dream”. Away from performing, she is just as dedicated in the classroom, earning a 4.0 GPA while balancing her growing interest in modeling, acting, and creative pursuits.
Modeling has remained at the center of her ambitions for years and attending iPOP! represents an exciting opportunity to transform that passion into a professional career.
Preparing for the Next Chapter
Ahead of iPOP!, Celexus has been building her confidence through professional training with Studio One and the Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts. She has also studied commercial performance, monologues, self-taping techniques, and acting preparation under coach Connor Weil, giving her a solid introduction to the entertainment industry.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys dancing, singing with her mother and grandmother, creating online content, gaming, swimming, basketball, and spending time with family and friends. Her energetic personality and willingness to try new experiences have helped shape the confidence she brings to every performance.
Dreaming of the Global Runway
Although she is exploring several areas of entertainment, Celexus already knows where her heart lies. Her dream is to become a high-fashion model, one day walking prestigious international runways, including Paris Fashion Week, while also working with luxury fashion publications. She has a particular admiration for Chinese fashion and hopes to build an international modeling career that allows her to experience different cultures and creative styles.
If Hollywood came calling tomorrow, her answer would be simple. She would choose modeling.
Looking Ahead to iPOP!
As she prepares for her first iPOP! experience, Celexus is looking forward to much more than simply performing. She is excited to meet fellow aspiring entertainers, make lifelong friendships, and gain valuable experiences that will help shape her future career. Most importantly, she’s eager to share her talents with the industry professionals attending the event.
Inspired by artists such as John Legend and the legendary Michael Jackson, Celexus hopes to one day build a career that reflects both creativity and professionalism while continuing to work hard toward every opportunity that comes her way.
