- WAM 65.00–74.99: AUD 6,000
Eligibility Requirements
The scholarship is open to students from all countries who receive an offer for an approved undergraduate or postgraduate degree beginning in 2026. Minimum academic requirements include:
- ATAR of at least 85.00 for undergraduate applicants
- WAM of at least 65.00 for postgraduate applicants
Applicants in International Academic Pathway programs must meet a higher WAM equivalent above 75.00.
Eligible and Excluded Programs
Most undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees are eligible, with the exception of:
- Undergraduate exclusions: Assured Pathways to Medicine and Dental Medicine
- Postgraduate exclusions: Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Doctor of Optometry, and UWA Micro-credentials
Combined Bachelor’s and Combined Bachelor’s and Master’s programs are also eligible. Students enrolled in five-year engineering combinations may receive up to AUD 60,000, depending on academic performance.
Award Structure and Duration
The scholarship is applied as an annual tuition fee reduction for the full duration of the standard full-time course, as stated in each student’s offer letter. UWA also offers qualification conversion tools to help international applicants evaluate eligibility.
No Separate Application Required
Students do not need to submit a separate scholarship application. The Global Excellence Scholarship is automatically awarded to all eligible students based on their ATAR or WAM at the time of admission.
