Zalando SE announced that Anna Dimitrova will become its new Chief Financial Officer starting January 1, 2026. She will also join the Management Board, bringing more than 20 years of international experience in finance, strategy, M&A, and business transformation.
She succeeds David Schröder, who has served as interim CFO since March 2025. Schröder will now return full-time to his role as Co-CEO of Zalando.
Before joining Zalando, Dimitrova served as Group CFO at Deutsche Glasfaser and held several senior executive roles at Vodafone Group in the UK, Germany, and Czech Republic. Her experience includes serving as CFO of Vodafone Germany and Czech Republic and as Group Financial Controller.
As Strategy, Corporate Development & Integration Director for Vodafone Germany, Dimitrova played a key role in integrating major acquisitions, including Kabel Deutschland and Unity Media, successfully driving synergies and transformation across markets.
Zalando’s Supervisory Board Chairman, Kelly Bennett, praised Dimitrova’s appointment, stating

Dimitrova joins Zalando as the company expands its fashion and lifestyle ecosystem across Europe. She will focus on strengthening Zalando’s finances, supporting scalable growth, and building long-term value for both B2C and B2B platforms.

Zalando, founded in Berlin in 2008, is Europe’s top online fashion and lifestyle platform, serving more than 52 million customers in 25 markets. The company focuses on both B2C and B2B growth, offering fashion, lifestyle products, logistics, and software services.
In July 2025, Zalando completed its strategic combination with ABOUT YOU, further expanding its reach and aligning perfectly with its long-term ecosystem strategy.
