Ariana Grande, pop superstar and actress, will join Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story Season 13 for her series debut. The announcement comes as she finishes filming her comedy, Focker In-Law, in the Meet the Parents series.
The casting was announced on Friday (Oct. 31) with a dramatic video posted by Murphy’s production company on Instagram, featuring Vera Lynn’s song “I’ll Be Seeing You.” Grande’s name was listed after AHS regulars Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, and Kathy Bates.
Jessica Lange is also returning to the series for the first time since 2018. She will join other fan favorites like Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman.
Season 13 is shaping up to be a reunion for Murphy’s universe, with familiar faces and exciting new additions.
Grande, recently Oscar-nominated for her role in Wicked, continues expanding her acting career. Next, she’ll voice a role in Jon M. Chu’s adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, premiering next year.
Fans can expect American Horror Story Season 13 to blend familiar faces, eerie storytelling, and Murphy’s signature dark glamour, now with Ariana Grande stepping into the world of horror television.
