The University of Leeds is marking its 25 years of engagement with India by introducing the India Anniversary Masters Scholarship 2024. This initiative offers a substantial financial boost for Indian students pursuing a master’s degree at the university for the 2024-25 academic year.
University of Leeds Scholarship Details
The India Anniversary Masters Scholarship provides £5,000 (approximately Rs 5,36,382) to eligible Indian students. This scholarship is intended to ease the financial burden of postgraduate studies and support students in achieving their academic goals.
University of Leeds Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the India Anniversary Masters Scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Be an international fee-paying student.
Enroll in a full-time or part-time taught Master’s course at the University of Leeds starting in September 2024.
Fulfill all conditions of the academic offer and accept it via the application portal.
Pay a £3,000 (about Rs 3,21,829) tuition fee deposit by the specified date, if applicable.
Enroll in a campus-based course (online courses are not eligible).
Be registered as a University of Leeds student by the beginning of February 2025.
This scholarship can be combined with other Department/Faculty scholarships or external funding, provided the total does not exceed 100% of the tuition fees. Note that the scholarship is non-deferrable and cannot be transferred to a future year of entry.
University of Leeds Application Process and Confirmation
No separate application is required for the scholarship. Eligible students will have the scholarship automatically applied as a tuition fee deduction for the second semester of their studies. For those who have already paid their tuition fees in full, the scholarship amount will be refunded in accordance with the eligibility criteria.
Students will receive an email with confirmation details of the scholarship. To accept the award, students must confirm their acceptance via the link provided in the scholarship offer email.
