WWE is renowned worldwide for its bright lights, dramatic fights, and thrilling entertainment. However, behind the scenes, a darker and more disturbing reality exists, especially for female wrestlers. Recently, shocking details have come to light about how some women have been treated in the company.
Former WWE star Saraya, who was known as Paige in the wrestling world, has opened up about her painful experiences during her time in WWE. In a recent interview, she shared how a senior WWE official misbehaved with her and later brushed it off as a joke. This has raised serious concerns about the safety and respect given to female wrestlers backstage.
Paige revealed that WWE is not just about action and entertainment; there is a “creepy” side that many people don’t see. She spoke about how some officials misused their power, and even writers who worked during Vince McMahon’s time saw the toxic environment. Many people behind the scenes made fun of scary incidents, calling it part of the show.
In a podcast called Rule Breakers, Paige described a terrifying incident. She said that one day, when she was trying to look at the crowd through some pipes and drapes, a man came from behind, covered her mouth, and dragged her into the darkness.
She was shocked and scared. The man later revealed his face, he was a senior WWE official. He told her it was just a joke, but Paige did not find it funny. She made it clear: “This is not a joke.”
Despite these traumatic experiences, Paige has always spoken the truth and stood up for what’s right. She said that changes are needed to make wrestling safer and more respectful for women. She also apologized to her fans for missing the Evolution event but thanked them for their love and support.
