Richemont is making a leadership change at Delvaux, appointing luxury industry veteran Yanina Novitskaya as the Belgian leather goods house’s new chief executive officer.
Novitskaya, who currently serves as Cartier’s CEO for South-East Asia and Oceania, will take up her new position on December 1, 2026. She will be based at Delvaux’s headquarters in Brussels and report to Philippe Fortunato, CEO of Richemont’s fashion and accessories division.
Her appointment brings nearly two decades of experience at Cartier to Delvaux. Novitskaya spent 19 years with the Richemont-owned jewellery and luxury maison, building extensive experience across the international luxury market. She is a graduate of Moscow State University of Design and Technology.
Speaking about her new role, Novitskaya said she was delighted to join Delvaux, describing the house as a brand with an extraordinary heritage, distinctive craftsmanship and a unique creative identity.
Fortunato said Novitskaya’s experience in the luxury sector would be important as Delvaux moves into its next phase, particularly as the brand looks to strengthen its positioning, product appeal and international growth.
Novitskaya succeeds Jean-Marc Loubier, who returned to lead Delvaux in 2021, only a few months after Richemont acquired the brand. During his tenure, Loubier helped develop Delvaux’s international presence while maintaining its focus on craftsmanship and its Belgian identity.
Founded in Brussels in 1829, Delvaux has a long history in luxury leather goods. The house has been an official supplier to the Royal Court of Belgium since 1883 and is credited with filing the world’s first patent for a leather handbag, the “Princesse,” in 1908.
The brand’s extensive archives contain more than 3,000 designs, including some of its most recognisable handbags such as the Brillant, introduced in 1958, the Tempête from 1967, Pin from 1972, Cool Box from 2018 and Lingot from 2022.
Today, Delvaux operates 50 boutiques across major luxury markets including Paris, London, New York, Milan, Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing.
With Novitskaya taking over in December, Delvaux enters its next chapter with a leader who brings deep experience from one of Richemont’s most established luxury maisons.
