Kendall Jenner Reveals Sheer Corset Look After Removing Gap Dress at Met Gala After-Party

Kendall Jenner continued to make a statement even after the Met Gala 2026 red carpet. She first appeared in a dramatic sculptural outfit designed by GapStudio and Zac Posen, then changed things up for the after-party by removing the outer layer to reveal a lighter, sheer look underneath.

For the after-party, Jenner wore the same nude-toned corset that was under her original dress. With the heavier layers gone, the structured bodice with sculpted details and faux nipple accents stood out. She matched it with a sheer satin chiffon skirt in a similar color, which made the outfit look softer and more relaxed.

The skirt had a raw hemline, adding movement and contrast to the corset’s structured shape. Jenner finished the look with a see-through scarf, sometimes wearing it around her neck and other times over part of her face. She also wore nude open-toe heels and carried a white drawstring bag.

Both the Met Gala dress and the after-party outfit were inspired by the same creative idea from Zac Posen for GapStudio. The design was inspired by the ancient Greek statue Winged Victory of Samothrace. For the red carpet, they used flowing fabrics and layers to capture the sense of movement seen in the famous sculpture.

Posen said the after-party look was meant to be “the other side of the same coin”—softer and more personal, but still tied to the main idea. Jenner was said to be very involved in the design process, working closely with Posen to create the final look.

The corset was made with the New York label Seks, using a 3D-printed model of Jenner’s body to get the sculpted shape under the dress. By showing off this structure at the after-party, Jenner gave everyone a better look at the detailed work behind the original gown.

For Jenner, who attended her 12th Met Gala this year, the transition from structured red carpet drama to sheer after-party styling kept the focus firmly on fashion experimentation, something the evening’s “Fashion is Art” theme encouraged throughout the night.
