HELLO JENIVIEVE AQUINO, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! WHAT GOT YOU INTO ENTERTAINMENT?
I have always had a thing for creativity and music. It took many tries for my parents to see what my thing was before they enrolled me in acting classes and productions.

WHAT KIND OF TRAINING HAVE YOU RECEIVED SO FAR AHEAD OF IPOP!?
I started singing and dancing from the age of 6 when I told my mom she had to take me to my dance class (this was before I was enrolled). She put me in Dance Unlimited’ s classes for Jazz, Tap, Hip-hop, and Ballet. I was also taking voice and piano lessons with Jane Neil. I continued those singing lessons and dance classes until COVID. Then I started musical theatre in Summer 2021 with Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma’s Academy’s “Little Mermaid Jr.” I have been taking acting Classes with Marriah Warren since Fall 2024. I have been taking singing lessons with Jenny Rader since Spring 2024.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE ROLES / CHARACTERS YOU’VE BEEN INVOLVED IN?
I played Belinda Cratchit in A Christmas Carol and a few small other parts in that show. I also played Miss Spider in James and the Giant Peach at JTF.

WHAT ACCENTS AND DIALECTS CAN YOU DO?
I had to take British dialect classes for A Christmas Carol and that’s how I learned a British dialect.

HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR AN AUDITION?
I usually run over the lines I was supposed to “know” (usually I have them memorized) and I listen to vocal warm-up videos if it’s a singing audition.

HAS THERE BEEN ONE PARTICULAR MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE SO FAR THAT YOU’RE MOST PROUD OF?
I’m know that’s there’s been many moments I’ve had like this, but I have one in particular. my voice coach only teaches teen girls. She recommends songs specifically for that girl. She said she believes in me and that I can sing hard material and recommends me songs like Speechless, Monster (Frozen the Musical), Gimme Gimme, and songs that are challenging. I learned and mastered most songs like that. She told me this a few weeks ago and it made me feel proud of myself but also inspired me to work harder.

WHO ARE YOUR INFLUENCES GROWING UP THAT HELPED TO MOLD YOU INTO WHO YOU ARE TODAY?
I grew up watching almost every Disney Channel series and Disney musicals. Frozen, Descendants 1, 2, and 3. They inspired me to start performing and acting. My friends have also been so supportive of me and helped me build the skills I have. I also LOVE my worship team! I have to say that they are the ones that kept me positive during school and sports.

IF YOU HAD ONE MESSAGE TO GIVE TO YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
The only person who can stop you is YOU.

IF YOU WEREN’T A PASSIONATE ACTOR, WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU BE DOING?
I would probably want to be a tennis player or a job that involves math or history because I love those subjects and I would like to do something I love as my job.

WHAT IS ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE YOURSELF?
Passionate! Throughout my few years of acting, I look back and see that I kept persevering and working hard because I loved what I was doing.

WHAT IS ONE FOOD YOU WILL NEVER EAT?
Uncooked Octopus (or any sea creature uncooked), because it grosses me out. Sometimes I think, “who woke up one day and decided they wanted to eat a live octopus and swallow it whole?”

DO YOU PLAY ANY SPORTS OR INSTRUMENTS, IF SO, WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE?
I’ve been playing tennis for 5 years and I was the only 7th grader on my middle school varsity team, cross country, basketball, ice skating, snowboarding and I play piano and I’m teaching myself how to play guitar.

WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM JOB BE?
A role in a Disney Channel movie or series. I loved Zuri from Disney’s “Jessie.” Or maybe even nerdy little featured parts in movies.

FOR FUN! IF YOU WENT BACK TO THE GOLDEN ERA OF HOLLYWOOD, WHICH ACTOR DO YOU RESONATE WITH MOST AND WHY?
Probably the most popular but still incredible, Marylin Monroe. She was a strong and smart woman. She stood for what SHE thought could be better for this world. I find that very inspiring and the fact she knew she could shift society’s mindset by speaking for what should be right. One of my favorite quotes from her is “Life is what you make it, no matter what, you’re going to mess up sometimes. It’s universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you’re going to mess up.”

WHAT IS YOUR THING TO DO WITH YOUR FRIENDS?
We usually go to our local ice skating rink, and we like to go to trampoline parks and the zoo. We also enjoy seeing local musical theatre shows around the city! It’s our favorite hobby to do together and I’m so glad that I have friends who love supporting others with me!

HAVE YOU SET ANY 2025 PROFESSIONAL GOALS TO ACHIEVE?
My 2025 goals are to get some more work on my resume and get more experience. Also to expand my vocal range- maybe even write a song?? I also want to learn more about music.

WHAT DID YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT ATTENDING IPOP!?
I really like all the performers that are here. I’ve made so many friends, and I love how kind everyone is here.
