Everplay Group Appoints Mikkel Weider as New CEO

Everplay Group has announced the appointment of Mikkel Weider as its next Chief Executive Officer, with his tenure beginning on January 1. The company confirmed the update on Thursday.

When Weider steps in, Interim Executive Chair Frank Sagnier will return to his role as Non Executive Chair. Sagnier said Weider has the right experience to help Everplay grow and move forward. He also noted that Weider’s background in gaming and mergers and acquisitions will benefit the company in the coming years.

Weider has a strong track record in leadership. He founded Nordisk Games in 2016 and led it until 2023. During his time there, the company grew from a small team to over 1,300 employees in Europe and the United States. Nordisk Games also acquired several major studios under his leadership, such as Avalanche Studios and Supermassive Games.

Currently, he is a Partner at Delphi Interactive, Chair of Outlast Games, and serves on the boards of M2 Animation and Trophy Games, which is listed on NASDAQ. Throughout his career, he has also been on the boards of Avalanche Studios, Supermassive Games, Raw Fury, Starstable, and Trustpilot. Earlier, he held senior roles at Bookatable and Match dot com.

Everplay Group did not comment on current trading, which suggests that business is running as expected during this busy time for the gaming industry.

Analysts remain positive about the company. The latest rating puts Everplay Group stock in the Buy category, with a price target of 426 pounds. AI evaluations, such as the Spark model from TipRanks, also give the stock a positive outlook, rating it as Outperform based on its long-term potential and strategy.

With Weider starting in early 2026, Everplay Group plans to strengthen its leadership, grow its global reach, and keep driving growth in the gaming sector.
