Alt-pop artist Chloe Star has released her latest single, “Walking On The Sun,” an emotionally charged anthem blending gritty rock with modern pop production. Released on June 26 through Chloe Star Records, the track establishes the Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter as a rising voice in alternative pop.
Known for her fearless songwriting and powerful vocals, Chloe Star is a Persian and Indigenous artist, visual creator, and tribal advocate whose music has earned recognition from Rolling Stone, CLASH Magazine, METAL Magazine, 1883 Magazine, EUPHORIA, and EARMILK. Since her debut in 2023, she has also performed at major events, including London Pride, the New York Pride Festival, the Back Lot Bash in Chicago, and The Dinah in California.
Growing up between her family’s reservation in San Bernardino and Los Angeles, Chloe discovered music early, using songwriting and art to express her emotions. Influenced by artists such as Amy Winehouse, Nirvana, Janis Joplin, and YUNGBLUD, she developed a distinctive sound combining raw rock energy with contemporary pop influences.
On “Walking On The Sun,” Chloe pairs trap-inspired percussion with overdriven guitars, building an atmospheric track that evolves into an anthemic chorus. Her commanding vocal performance sits at the center, delivering both vulnerability and strength.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Chloe revealed that the song reflects her personal experiences within the treatment and rehabilitation industry.
“This song is about the corruption I’ve seen in the treatment and rehab industry, where profit often matters more than genuinely helping people recover,” she shared. Chloe added that while some facilities left her feeling trapped in a cycle of returning, she eventually found a rehabilitation center that truly cared about helping people heal, an experience that changed her life forever.
With its deeply personal message and powerful production, “Walking On The Sun” marks another important chapter in Chloe Star’s growing musical journey and showcases her continued commitment to creating honest, emotionally driven music.
