Prince Kaybee, the multi-platinum South African Afro House artist, has just released his new single, “Heno Babayo.” This is his first track with the global electronic label PLAYY. Records. Released on June 26, the song marks a fresh start for the award-winning DJ and producer after his time with Universal Music South Africa.
Prince Kaybee is known for platinum hits like “Club Controller,” “Banomoya,” and “Uwrongo.” He has become one of South Africa’s most influential Afro House artists, bringing the genre to listeners worldwide. Over the years, he has worked with artists like Lady Zamar, Busiswa, TNS, Shimza, Black Motion, and Ami Faku.
Prince Kaybee, whose real name is Kabelo Motsamai, once hoped to be a professional footballer until a knee injury changed his plans. He found his passion for music and gained fame after winning the Masters of Spin TV competition in 2015. Since then, he has won several South African Music Awards (SAMAs), including Male Artist of the Year, Best Dance Album, and Album of the Year, as well as other industry honors.
“Heno Babayo” stays true to Prince Kaybee’s signature Afro House sound, combining crisp percussion, melodic synths, lush pads, and layered vocals to create an uplifting and immersive listening experience. At over five minutes, the track builds steadily while maintaining its energy throughout, making it a strong addition to the producer’s growing catalogue.

Talking about what inspired the song, Prince Kaybee said, “‘Heno Babayo’ is a symbol of resilience. For me, the song reflects the journey of facing hardships, pushing through adversity, and never losing sight of hope despite life’s obstacles.”
With this first release on PLAYY. Records, Prince Kaybee is further cementing his place as a top Afro House artist and sharing his music with an even bigger global audience.
