Allow me to introduce myself – I am Tasia Talton, aka Black Widow. I am 22 and live in Dublin, Ohio. I like to work out, hang with friends, and game. I’m funny, authentic, competitive, hard-working, fearless, and confident.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PURSUE GAMING PROFESSIONALLY, AND HOW DID YOU BECOME A MEMBER OF THE JMG FAMILY?
Encouragement from family, friends, and other gamers. As luck would have it, my brother invited me to explore the prospect of representation alongside him, ultimately leading me to the esteemed JMG family. It was a fortunate turn of events, and I am proud to be part of the team!
AS A PROFESSIONAL GAMER, WHAT SKILLS DO YOU THINK ARE ESSENTIAL TO SUCCESS IN THE INDUSTRY?
In my opinion, the fundamental abilities crucial for success include effective communication, astute problem-solving, unwavering patience, seamless teamwork, and a genuine commitment to authenticity.
WHAT KIND OF TRAINING AND PRACTICE DO YOU UNDERGO TO STAY COMPETITIVE IN THE GAMING WORLD?
My practice method is to stay consistent with my training schedule, perform thorough pre-warm-ups, study other seasoned gamers’, and ensure various gaming strategies.
YOU’VE MENTIONED THAT YOU SPECIALIZE IN GAMES LIKE CALL OF DUTY, FORTNITE, AND ROCKET LEAGUE. WHAT IS IT ABOUT THESE GAMES THAT YOU ENJOY THE MOST?
For me, the appeal of these games bring high levels of competitiveness that challenge me. They provide an opportunity to work together as a team and foster creativity while having a good time.
WHAT DO YOU THINK SETS YOU APART FROM OTHER GAMERS IN THE INDUSTRY?
As a female player in a male-dominated field, I bring a unique perspective to the gaming industry. Additionally, my versatility in playing a diverse range of games and my ability to immerse myself fully in the characters I create sets me apart from the crowd.
HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED ANY CHALLENGES OR OBSTACLES IN YOUR CAREER AS A GAMER, AND IF SO, HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?
I have encountered a few obstacles along the way, such as learning the game’s complexity and earning acceptance as a female gamer. Unfortunately, the amount of criticism I receive as a female gamer can sometimes be overwhelming. I remain positive to overcome these challenges, learn from my mistakes, and experiment with new strategies.
HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR GAMING CAREER WITH OTHER ASPECTS OF YOUR LIFE, SUCH AS FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND OTHER INTERESTS?
Honestly, finding a balance between my gaming and social life has been quite challenging. I’ve discovered that prioritizing my daily objectives can better manage my time between gaming and social activities. Being mindful of your priorities is key to achieving this balance.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUNG GAMERS WHO ARE JUST STARTING OUT AND LOOKING TO MAKE A CAREER IN GAMING?
I maintain a positive outlook, have faith in the journey, recognize that setbacks are a natural part of success, and never underestimate my competitors.

Let me tell you, not only can I shred on Guitar Hero, I love to dance, and I’m a former athlete. I’m continuously refining my physical abilities and competitive spirit to achieve greatness.
