Amber Pepper to Lead the Natural Diamond Council as New CEO from February 2026

The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) has named Amber Pepper as its next Chief Executive Officer, starting 1 February 2026. The organization hopes this leadership change will boost global demand for natural diamonds as buyer preferences and market competition continue to change quickly.

Amber Pepper has a strong record of transforming luxury brands and growing businesses in competitive markets. She has held leadership roles at Tapestry, Farfetch, Harrods, and Mytheresa. At Mytheresa, she served as Chief Marketing and Customer Officer and later as Managing Director, focusing on brand storytelling and building strong connections with today’s luxury shoppers.

In her new position at the NDC, Pepper will leAt the NDC, Pepper will focus on promoting the value of natural diamonds, especially to Gen Z and new luxury buyers. She plans to strengthen the industry’s digital presence, create a clear message for natural diamonds, and support growth across the value chain. Her main goal is to help natural diamonds stand out in a market with more choices than ever.er of the NDC said that Pepper’s global experience and understanding of luxury audiences make her the right leader to take the Council into its next chapter.

Pepper will succeed David Kellie, who retires at the end of this year. Kellie has led the organization since 2019, overseeing its change from the Diamond Producers Association to the Natural Diamond Council. He helped the NDC manage the challenges of the pandemic and changing consumer expectations.
