The Bar Council of India (BCI) has extended the registration deadline for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE 20) to October 31, 2025. This gives applicants three extra days, as the original deadline was October 28. Candidates who wish to appear for the AIBE 20 can now apply online at allindiabarexamination.com.
The decision to extend the registration date came after several law students reported facing technical issues while filling out their applications. Additionally, the National Law Universities Students’ Association (NLUSA) requested the BCI to review the eligibility criteria for final-year law students.
Some law schools use a trimester system instead of the usual semester system, which can make it unclear who counts as a final-year student. Sometimes, ninth semester results are still pending, adding to the confusion.
