The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the official notification for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE-20) for the year 2025. The exam will be held on November 30, 2025, and online registration begins from September 29, 2025 at the official website barcouncilofindia.org.
Key Dates to Remember
- Registration starts: September 29, 2025
- Registration ends: October 28, 2025
- Fee payment window closes: October 29, 2025
- Correction window: Until October 31, 2025
- Admit card release: November 15, 2025
- Exam date: November 30, 2025
Candidates are advised to complete registration before the last date and carefully review their application during the correction window.
Eligibility Criteria
The exam is open to law graduates who have completed either a three-year or five-year LLB degree. Students currently in the final year of their LLB program are also eligible to apply.
Passing Marks
- General/OBC candidates: Minimum 45% required
- SC/ST and differently abled candidates: Minimum 40% required
Only candidates meeting the minimum score will qualify to practice law in India.
Application Process
To apply for AIBE-20, candidates need to:

- Click on the AIBE-20 registration link.
- Fill in the application form with correct details.
- Upload required documents.
- Pay the registration fee.
- Submit and save the application form for future reference.
The application fee is set at Rs 3,560 for General and OBC candidates, while SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs 2,560.
Admit Card Download
Admit cards for AIBE-20 will be available from November 15, 2025. To download, candidates must log in with their application number and date of birth. A hard copy of the admit card should be carried to the examination centre.
