Godrej Consumer Products has extended Sudhir Sitapati’s term as CEO for another five years

Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has reappointed Sudhir Sitapati as Managing Director and CEO for another five years. His new term will start on October 18, 2026, pending shareholder approval.

The company’s board approved the decision after receiving recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. GCPL also announced an interim dividend of ₹5 per share for FY27.

Sitapati joined GCPL in 2021 after over 20 years at Hindustan Unilever Limited, where he held several leadership roles in India and abroad. At GCPL, he has worked to strengthen the company’s India operations, expand its international business, and develop new categories like grooming products.

GCPL also released its financial results for FY26. The company reported consolidated revenue of ₹15,177.9 crore, up from ₹13,996.54 crore in FY25. Consolidated profit after tax was ₹1,861.47 crore, a slight increase from last year.

In the March quarter, GCPL posted revenue of ₹3,900.44 crore and a profit after tax of ₹451.77 crore.

GCPL’s India business continued to be its biggest contributor, bringing in ₹9,474.11 crore in annual revenue. The Africa business added ₹3,154.46 crore, and Indonesia contributed ₹1,822.59 crore.

The company also announced that Nadir Godrej will retire as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director on August 7, 2026. The board thanked him for his contribution and leadership during his time with the company.

GCPL’s 26th Annual General Meeting is scheduled to take place on August 7, 2026, through virtual conferencing platforms.
