Born in Cerritos, Los Angeles, California, Rita Kwon is an 11-year-old performer whose passion for acting, singing, and modeling has been evident from an early age, with acting standing proudly as her favorite. Since she was five years old, Rita has loved performing, and by age seven she began pursuing acting more seriously through skits, school performances, and stage work. What fuels her most is the joy of entertaining others and making people smile, a purpose she brings to every role with energy, focus, and dedication.
Rita understands that big dreams require consistent effort, and she proves that belief through her tireless commitment to training, growth, and performance.
Finding Her Calling Early
For Rita, entertainment was never a passing interest. From a young age, she knew she wanted a professional career in acting, singing, and modeling. When NYLA Talent entered her life, she recognized it as an opportunity to formally train and debut her talents. Rather than hesitate, Rita embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, determined to pursue her dream with passion and perseverance.
Training, Discipline, and Artistic Development
Rita’s training reflects her remarkable discipline and drive. She began vocal training between the ages of seven and nine and has studied ballet since the age of three, developing strong posture, control, and grace. She has trained with vocal coach James Lugo via Zoom and attended acting classes and boot camps with Connor Weil and Robert Vito through NYLA Talent.
Her performing experience includes leading roles in school plays, musicals, and talent shows. One of her favorite roles was playing Ida the Ugly’s mother in Honk Jr., a lead role she performed at just ten years old. The experience allowed her to explore character depth and emotional storytelling at a young age.

Modeling, Music, and a Love for the Spotlight
Rita’s modeling journey began when she was only four years old, inspired by family and friends who often said she could be an “American Doll.” She quickly discovered a love for posing, headshots, and styling sessions, always giving her best effort in front of the camera.
Singing became a true passion after performing a solo and witnessing the audience clap and smile. Encouraged by her coach, Rita stepped into solo performance with confidence, embracing her voice as another powerful form of expression.
Accents, Skills, and Extraordinary Versatility
Rita’s talents extend far beyond the stage. She can perform British and Australian accents, as well as Chinese and Indian dialects, adding impressive versatility to her acting toolkit.
Her special skills are extensive and rare for someone her age. They include ballet, cheerleading (flyer), gymnastics, swimming (since age three), Taekwondo (brown belt), roller skating, figure ice skating, tennis, jujitsu, tumbling, horseback riding and racing, track team participation, flute, and piano, which she has played since age five. Since age 7 Rita has been taking coding classes. At age nine, Rita even crocheted a scarf entirely on her own, reflecting both creativity and focus.
Achievements Beyond Performance
Rita’s accomplishments extend into academics, creativity, and service. She has earned awards for Reading Olympics, STEM Olympics, best poem, best art, district-wide best singer at age seven, peace builder, and best emotional reader two years in a row at ages eight and nine.
She is also deeply committed to giving back, volunteering by reading to younger children at the library, teaching younger kids, and donating old clothes. These experiences reflect her kindness, empathy, and leadership.
Proud Moments and Confidence Gained
Among the many milestones in Rita’s journey, her proudest moment came at iPOP!, where she earned multiple awards and medals. After months of preparation and an intense week of performances, the recognition validated her hard work and dedication. The runway events and Awards Gala pushed her outside of her comfort zone and allowed her to shine in ways she will never forget.

Inspiration, Values, and Inner Wisdom
Rita draws inspiration from artists who combine talent, presence, and global influence, including Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and members of BLACKPINK, including Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo.
Her message to herself reflects wisdom beyond her years: to trust those closest to her, especially family and true friends, and to protect her heart and goals in an industry where not everyone has good intentions.
When asked to describe herself in one word, Rita chooses versatile, a fitting reflection of her ability to adapt, learn quickly, and take on new challenges with confidence.
Life Beyond the Spotlight
Outside of performing, Rita loves spending time with friends playing tag, attending pool parties, hosting group study sessions at the library, and even going ghost hunting. Her curiosity and imagination extend into every part of her life.
One food she will never eat? Beets, along with anchovies, canned meat, and lamb brain, flavors and textures she firmly avoids.
Looking Ahead
Rita dreams of starring in a Disney-style sitcom like Jessie or Modern Family, as well as booking lead roles in commercials and television projects. Her goals for 2026 and beyond are ambitious and detailed, including securing multiple agents, a manager, and an attorney by 2027, booking at least two commercials, and maintaining weekly training in voice, acting, commercial performance, and modeling.
With preparation, discipline, and confidence, Rita plans to launch her career fully equipped and ready for the global stage.

With extraordinary versatility, relentless dedication, and a genuine love for entertaining others, Rita Kwon is a rising young performer whose talent, work ethic, and heart set her apart.
