Ying McGuire to Lead Cascale’s Next Phase of Climate Collaboration

Global sustainability alliance Cascale has named Ying McGuire as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026. She will succeed interim CEO Harsh Saini, who will remain in his role through May 31 and support the leadership transition as an advisor until the end of June.

The appointment marks a significant leadership shift for Cascale, intensifying efforts to deliver measurable sustainability outcomes across value chains worldwide.

Formerly known as the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Cascale represents over 300 global businesses working together to combat climate change and promote decent work standards. The organisation has focused on turning shared sustainability commitments into tangible, operational progress.

Board chair Tamar Hoek welcomed the appointment, stating that McGuire’s experience will help strengthen collective action and build a more resilient and sustainable global supply chain ecosystem.

McGuire brings extensive experience in supply chains, international business development, and nonprofit transformation. Most recently, she served as CEO and president of the US National Minority Supplier Development Council, where she modernised operations, expanded stakeholder engagement, and strengthened the organisation’s long-term performance.

Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at Dell Technologies and Technology Integration Group, overseeing global market expansion, strategic partnerships, and complex supply chain operations across regions. Her background in navigating multi-stakeholder environments—bridging brands, manufacturers, policymakers, and civil society- positions her well for Cascale’s collaborative mission.

As CEO, McGuire will prioritise deeper engagement with Cascale’s members and key stakeholders and sharpen operational effectiveness. She will focus on accelerating industry-wide collaboration on climate action, responsible sourcing, and labour standards.ds.

Cascale has signalled a stronger emphasis on delivering clear value to its members, enhancing its membership model, and scaling initiatives that drive practical, measurable impact instead of aspirational commitments alone.

During his interim leadership, Harsh Saini maintained organisational stability, advanced partnerships, and supported refinements to Cascale’s operating model. His advisory role through June will help ensure a seamless transition as McGuire steps into the position.

With global supply chains under increasing scrutiny, from regulatory pressure to climate risk and social responsibility, Cascale’s leadership transition arrives at a critical juncture. McGuire’s appointment reflects the organisation’s intent to combine corporate rigour with collaborative sustainability frameworks.

As industries confront rising expectations around transparency and accountability, Cascale’s next chapter will focus on turning collective ambition into structured, measurable progress under new leadership ready to navigate both complexity and opportunity.
