TOMS, the well-known U.S. footwear brand recognized for its mission and signature Alpargatas, has named Katie Wagner as its new Chief Commercial Officer. The company shared this news as it gets ready for global growth and a new marketplace strategy before its 20th anniversary.
In her new role, Wagner will oversee all global sales channels, including wholesale, e-commerce, and marketplace distribution. She previously advised TOMS and helped shape its wholesale strategy.
Wagner has nearly 20 years of commercial leadership experience from Crocs and HEYDUDE. At those companies, she managed large portfolios, expanded regional businesses, strengthened partner networks, and helped double revenue in key markets. She is known for strong execution and a consumer-first approach, earning a reputation for transforming business units and driving growth.
TOMS CEO Jessica Alsing, who took on the role in October, shared her confidence in Wagner’s leadership. Alsing called her “unmatched” at building top footwear operations and said she looks forward to working with her again after their time together at Crocs and Melissa. She added that Wagner’s creativity, strategic thinking, and understanding of the omni-channel customer experience make her a great fit for the role.
For Wagner, joining TOMS is both a personal and professional milestone. She said she has been a longtime fan of the brand and is excited to help refresh its marketplace presence. “I’m thrilled to be part of the team shaping the next chapter of this iconic brand,” she said. Wagner plans to bring a unified marketplace strategy and a modern approach to distribution as TOMS moves forward.
Her appointment is part of a larger transformation at TOMS, as Alsing updates the leadership team to speed up the company’s growth before 2026. This move also shows TOMS’ commitment to its mission as a Certified B Corporation, using business for good while offering comfortable, timeless footwear.
Founded in Venice Beach in 2006, TOMS has grown from one product idea into a global lifestyle brand with espadrilles, sandals, sneakers, and casual shoes for all ages. Today, its products are sold in over 30 countries through regional websites and retail partners worldwide.
Wagner will be in New York City from December 1 to 5 for the FFANY trade show and market week. She will be available for interviews and meetings with CEO Jessica Alsing and Chief Brand & Impact Officer Amber Tarshis.
With Wagner as Chief Commercial Officer, TOMS looks ready to strengthen its commercial strategy, expand its global reach, and move confidently into its next phase of growth.
