The Directorate of Government Examinations Telangana has released sample OMR sheets ahead of the upcoming Telangana Secondary School Certificate Examination to help students prepare for the exam format. The Class 10 board exams in Telangana will begin on March 14, 2026, and continue until April 16.
The exams will be held in pen-and-paper format throughout the state, usually from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for most subjects. The First Language (Composite Course) and Science exams might have a slightly different timing.
This year, about 5,28,239 students will take the SSC exams at 2,676 centres across Telangana. Education officials say everything is ready to make sure the exams run smoothly.
The board had earlier issued hall tickets for students through schools and also made them available online.
To help students understand how the exam will be conducted, the board has released sample Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets. These sheets are commonly used in multiple-choice question (MCQ) tests and are evaluated using computer scanning technology.
By reviewing the sample sheets, students can become familiar with the format used during the actual examination. Officials believe this will help reduce confusion and mistakes when filling out answer sheets.
Students must carefully follow the instructions while filling the OMR sheet during the exam. The correct answer should be marked by completely darkening the bubble using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
Candidates should avoid placing ticks, crosses, or partially shading the circles. Personal details such as roll number, subject code, and booklet code must be entered correctly in the designated boxes, and the corresponding bubbles must also be filled in properly.
Students should avoid folding, scratching, or making extra marks on the OMR sheet because machines scan these forms for grading.
The exam admit cards were released earlier on the official website bse.telangana.gov.in and sent to schools by Speed Post. Students can also get their hall tickets on WhatsApp by messaging 8096958096 with “SSC Hall Ticket March-2026.”
Candidates must carry their hall tickets to the examination centre, as entry will not be allowed without them. The admit card contains important information, including the student’s name, roll number, photograph, exam schedule, and exam-day instructions.
With the exams starting soon, students are advised to review the OMR sheet format and follow all instructions carefully to avoid mistakes during the test.
