Taylor Swift is ready to start a brand-new music era. On August 13, she announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which will be released on Friday, October 3, 2025.
The announcement came in a rare podcast appearance on New Heights, hosted by her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason Kelce. In the episode, Swift revealed a mint-green briefcase with “T.S.” on it, telling them it contained her new album.
Later, on Instagram, Swift shared the official cover art. In the photo, she lies in water wearing a sparkling one-piece outfit with cutouts, red lipstick, and smoky eye makeup. The post was captioned:
“And, baby, that’s show business for you. New album The Life of a Showgirl. Out October 3.”
The album is produced by Swift herself, along with Max Martin and Shellback.
