Calvin Klein Appoints Ayub Mohamed as Chief Product Officer to Strengthen Global Fashion Strategy

Calvin Klein has appointed Ayub Mohamed as Chief Product Officer, bringing an experienced fashion industry leader to one of the world’s most recognised fashion brands. Announced on October 22, 2026, the appointment will take effect on January 25, 2027, as the company looks to strengthen its product strategy and expand its global appeal.

Mohamed brings more than 20 years of experience across the fashion, luxury and lifestyle industries. In his new role, he will oversee Calvin Klein’s global product organisation, including design and merchandising. His responsibilities will include developing product strategies across categories and markets while supporting the brand’s identity and commercial growth.

Before joining Calvin Klein, Mohamed served as Executive Vice President of Product at Lacoste. There, he led the global product organisation, covering design, merchandising and product development. His work focused on creating products that better reflected consumer preferences and the needs of different sales channels.

His career also includes senior leadership roles at several well-known fashion houses. He previously served as Chief Merchandising Officer at Kenzo, where he managed global product strategy and assortment development. Earlier, he held leadership positions at Tory Burch and Tory Sport, Donna Karan and DKNY, and Givenchy.

Mohamed also spent nearly eight years at Levi Strauss & Co., working across global men’s design, merchandising and product development. This experience has given him a broad understanding of different fashion categories, consumer markets and the process of turning creative ideas into products that customers want to buy.

David Savman, Global Brand President of Calvin Klein, welcomed the appointment, highlighting Mohamed’s ability to connect a brand’s creative identity with products that appeal to consumers and deliver business results. The company sees an opportunity to build on its established design identity while strengthening its product offering across international markets.

Mohamed said he was looking forward to working with Savman and the wider team, describing Calvin Klein as an iconic brand with distinctive design principles and a strong product foundation.

Founded in New York in 1968, Calvin Klein has built its reputation on modern design and influential fashion campaigns. Its product range includes underwear, jeans, apparel, accessories, home products and fragrances. The brand generated approximately $9 billion in global retail sales in 2025.

The appointment comes as fashion companies continue to focus on creating products that balance design, customer demand and profitability. With experience spanning luxury fashion, sportswear, denim and lifestyle brands, Mohamed brings a broad industry perspective to his new position.

His leadership will be key as Calvin Klein works to stay relevant with consumers while developing products for different markets. The coming months will show how the brand uses his experience to shape its next phase of global product development.
