Sufi Vassighi is a talented and dedicated young performer whose journey into entertainment is fueled by curiosity, courage, and a genuine love of self-expression. With a vibrant personality and a wide range of artistic and athletic skills, Sufi brings energy, creativity, and discipline to every space she enters, on stage, on set, and beyond.
Her spark for acting ignited at home while watching Cobra Kai with her dad. When she learned that the characters on screen were actors, something clicked. At the same time, being affectionately labeled a “drama queen” by friends and family only encouraged her. Rather than shy away from it, Sufi embraced it, realizing she loved entertaining people and expressing herself through performance. From a young age, she role-played characters in front of the mirror, experimenting with accents and personalities so vividly that her mom would sometimes rush upstairs to see who she was “arguing” with.
For Sufi, performing is not just about fun, it is also about pride. She loves representing her culture and performing on behalf of her country, Iran, bringing her identity and heritage into her artistry.
Training, Curiosity, and Creative Exploration
Sufi’s training is as diverse as her interests. For the past six years, she has trained extensively in Tae Kwon Do, developing discipline, focus, physical confidence, and resilience. She has competed in tournaments and recently choreographed her own creative form, blending martial arts with dance, an experience that helped her realize how much she loves merging movement, rhythm, and storytelling.
She has also trained in dance, studying tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet, and lyrical, and performing in recitals she describes as magical. Music is another important part of her life, she plays violin and percussion and enjoys dressing up and doing her makeup for performances, fully embracing the theatrical experience.
At school, Sufi eagerly joins performing opportunities such as music, choir, and drama club. During summers, her curiosity leads her to explore new skills including horseback riding, coding, improv, vocal training, skating, and swimming. She is naturally inquisitive and social, often finding mentors wherever she goes simply by asking questions and showing interest.

Languages, Accents, and Expressive Range
Fluent in English and Farsi, having studied Arabic for five years, and currently learning Spanish, Sufi brings strong multilingual ability and cultural awareness to her work.
She is also known for her love of accents and impressions. During family fun nights, she performs stand-up comedy and impressions, switching effortlessly between British, French, Southern, Austrian, Iranian, Arab, pirate, preppy girl, and whatever new voice she picks up from her surroundings. While she jokes that she still has plenty to learn, her natural ear for sound and rhythm makes dialect work one of her standout strengths.
Performance Preferences and Open-Minded Vision
When asked whether she prefers television, stage, or screen, Sufi’s answer is simple, she loves them all. As a performer at the beginning of her career, she is open-minded and eager to explore every medium. As long as she is in the spotlight, learning and growing, she is happy.
Her favorite roles so far include participating in photo shoots and playing small speaking parts in productions. She values every opportunity, expressing gratitude for the trust others place in her and the chance to step into different perspectives and lives.
Proud Moments and Personal Courage
Two moments stand out as especially meaningful to Sufi.
One occurred when she was seven years old at Disney World. Terrified of a roller coaster with steep drops, she found the courage to face her fear with encouragement from her cousin. Taking that leap taught her that bravery often leads to joy.
The other moment dates back even earlier. As a toddler, Sufi was not yet speaking fluently. After dreaming of a light switch turning on, she woke up one morning and suddenly began speaking Farsi fluently. Her parents’ reaction of shock, joy, and celebration remains one of her proudest memories, a moment that symbolized her voice quite literally coming alive.
Inspiration, Mindset, and Inner Drive
Sufi draws inspiration from performers such as Jenna Ortega, Millie Bobby Brown, Ariana Grande, and Kristen Bell, admiring their versatility, strength, and authenticity.
Her message to herself is clear and motivating: “Just do it.” A guiding phrase that keeps her grounded is “Be grateful for what you have,” a mindset that fuels both humility and ambition.
In one word, Sufi describes herself as artistic, a reflection of her boundless creativity and desire to express herself in every form possible.

Life Beyond Performance
Outside of performing, Sufi loves spending time with friends. With local friends, she enjoys ice skating, trampoline parks, museums, trying new foods, and playdates. With her many non-local friends, she stays connected through FaceTime and group calls, introducing friends to one another, laughing, talking, dancing, and singing together.
One food she will never eat? Avocados, a firm no.
Dream Roles and Looking Ahead
Sufi’s dream role is deliciously complex, she would love to play a mysterious serial-killer-type character who is secretly an A-plus student and trusted by everyone, helping solve crimes like a detective. Her interest in becoming a police officer fuels these layered character ideas, blending strength, intelligence, and intrigue.
Looking ahead to 2026, Sufi’s goal is to land a recurring role on a television series, working alongside experienced professionals she can learn from and grow with. She embraces the unknown and sees opportunity in places she has yet to imagine.
At iPOP!, Sufi cherished the chance to meet inspiring people and mentors. She was especially impacted by Jerry Silverhardt for his kindness and insight, Robert Vito and Connor Weil for helping her manage stress with humor and guidance, and Derek Maki for teaching her humility and supporting her professional development. Being surrounded by such talented individuals made her feel inspired, grateful, and grounded.
