With the April exams approaching, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the schedule for two important recruitment tests: SSC JE 2025 Paper-II and SSC CHSL 2025 Tier-II. In a notice on March 23, 2026, SSC shared when City Intimation Slips, Admit Cards, and Scribe Entry Passes will be available, reminding candidates to stay alert and download their documents promptly.
The release of the City Intimation Slip marks the first step in the final exam phase. This document provides candidates with advance information about their exam city and shift timing, allowing them to plan travel and logistics efficiently.
However, candidates must note:
The city slip is not the admit card. It is just an initial document. The official Admit Card (Admission Certificate) will be released later and is required to enter the exam hall.
Important Exam Dates
- SSC JE 2025 Paper-II: April 7, 2026
- SSC CHSL 2025 Tier-II: April 10, 2026
With less than two weeks left, time is tight. Now, preparation means not just studying but also getting your travel and other arrangements ready.
The City Intimation Slip typically contains:
- Candidate’s name and roll number
- Exam city allocation
- Exam date and shift timing
This early information helps candidates avoid last-minute confusion, especially if they need to travel to another city.
Admit Card: The Mandatory Document
The admit card will be released a few days before the exam, expected around April 6 or 7, 2026 for CHSL Tier-II. Candidates without it will not be allowed to enter the exam center under any circumstances.
Along with the admit card, candidates must carry:
- A valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, or Passport)
- Two recent passport-sized photographs
How to Download SSC City Slip & Admit Card
Once available, candidates can get their documents from the official SSC website by following these steps:
- Visit ssc.gov.in
- Click on the relevant notification for City of Examination / Admit Card
- Log in using:
- Registration ID or Roll Number
- Date of Birth
- View, download, and print the document
It’s a good idea to have both digital and printed copies ready.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Download early: Avoid last-minute technical issues
- Verify details: Ensure accuracy of name, exam centre, and timings
- Follow exam rules: Electronic devices, calculators, and unauthorized materials are strictly prohibited
- Scribe candidates: Must download a separate Scribe Entry Pass
The SSC CHSL and JE exams are among India’s toughest recruitment tests, offering opportunities for stable government jobs. This year, SSC CHSL plans to fill over 3,000 Group C positions, so the competition is especially fierce.
At this point, success depends not just on preparation but also on being precise and ready. Missing a document or ignoring instructions could cost candidates a whole year.
