Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently attended a special event in Rome to celebrate Bulgari’s 140th anniversary and the launch of their new high jewellery collection, Aeterna. The event was held at the historic Terme di Diocleziano, recently opened to the public. It featured a grand show and a gala dinner attended by many celebrities, including Shu Qi, Anne Hathaway, and Liu Yifei.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas made a stunning appearance with a chic new bob hairstyle, an off-shoulder cream, and a black gown by Del Core. The highlight of her look was the Serpenti Aeterna necklace, a masterpiece from Bulgari’s collection. This necklace is adorned with approximately 140 carats of diamonds and is considered one of Bulgari’s most valuable creations. It includes a rough diamond of over 20 carats, cut into seven pear-shaped drops. These drops, symbolizing each year of Bulgari’s history, are set in a three-dimensional wave structure featuring 698 baguette diamonds.
The Aeterna Serpenti Necklace is a historic jewel, which took 2,800 hours to complete, it features a rough diamond over 20 carats, cut into seven pear-shaped drops collectively weighing 140 carats – each symbolizing a year of Bvlgari’s history. Valued at an astounding $43 million, the Serpenti Aeterna Necklace encapsulates Bvlgari’s heritage and pioneering spirit. The diamonds are elegantly set within a three-dimensional wave structure, incorporating 698 baguette diamonds that together weigh 61.81 carats. With carefully calibrated proportions and nuanced curvature, the necklace ensures utmost elegance and comfort, embracing the skin with grace and embodying the eternal light of Rome.
The evening was not only a showcase of exquisite jewellery but also a celebration of Bulgari’s rich heritage. The event, styled by renowned stylist Carine Roitfeld, featured over 500 creations, including jewellery, watches, bags, and fragrances. Attendees were treated to a series of performances, starting with a poetic duet by choreographer Sadek Berrabah and ballet dancer Eleonora Abbagnato. This was followed by another performance featuring 80 dancers moving in perfect harmony.
In addition to celebrating their past, Bulgari also looked to the future by introducing the Bulgari Digital Passport. This digital record will store the unique characteristics and certificates of each high jewellery piece on a private blockchain, ensuring customer transparency and security.
