Journalist Palki Sharma has announced the launch of her new media company, India Global Review (IGR). This move marks her start in media entrepreneurship after leaving her position as Managing Editor at Firstpost, part of Network18.

India Global Review, based in India, is a digital-first global media platform focused on international affairs from an Indian perspective. The company plans to reach audiences in the United States, Europe, West Asia, South Asia, and Africa.

The announcement states that the platform will be available on major digital platforms and connected television (CTV) networks. The company has also received support from institutional investors for its early operations and future global growth.

Palki Sharma said that India is now actively shaping global conversations, not just taking part in them. She added that India Global Review aims to create an independent, credible platform that covers world affairs with clarity, facts, and context from an Indian perspective.

“In a noisy, polarised media landscape, our focus will be on facts, context and perspective, because how you see the world shapes what you believe,” Sharma said.

To support its growth, India Global Review has begun hiring for editorial, production, and digital positions in several regions.

Palki Sharma is a well-known Indian journalist in international news. She has worked in television, print, and digital media with organizations such as WION, CNN-News18, Doordarshan News, Hindustan Times, and Firstpost.

The launch of India Global Review comes at a time when digital-first news platforms are increasingly focusing on global audiences while building region-specific perspectives and independent editorial identities.
