NIFT 2026 Exam to Be Conducted in 102 Cities Across India

NIFT 2026 Exam to Be Conducted in 102 Cities

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an update for candidates appearing in the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026. To improve accessibility and reduce travel challenges, NTA has added two new exam centres: Vapi in Gujarat and Daman in Daman and Diu.

This decision follows multiple requests from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) to make the examination process more convenient for students, especially those from nearby regions. The official notification states the move aims to benefit candidates by offering exam centres closer to their location and easing logistical concerns.

Exam Centres Increased to 102 Cities

Before this update, NIFTEE 2026 was conducted in 100 exam cities nationwide. With Vapi and Daman added, the total is now 102. This expansion reflects NTA’s efforts to ensure fair access to national-level exams for students from diverse backgrounds.

Candidates who have already submitted applications and selected other exam cities will have an opportunity to change their preferences. During the correction window, applicants can choose either of the new centres if they prefer.

NTA has clarified that while it will try to allot candidates an exam centre in their preferred city, the final allotment depends on administrative and logistical considerations. In some cases, candidates may still be assigned a centre in a different city.
