The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the revised schedule for the NEET PG 2025 exam. According to the latest update, the exam will now be held on August 3, 2025, in a single shift, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This decision was made after approval from the Supreme Court of India.
To ensure that all candidates can appear in one shift, more exam cities will be added across the country. However, this means that all applicants—regardless of their previous choices —must reselect their preferred exam city during the upcoming city selection window.
Important Dates for NEET PG 2025
- City Selection Window: June 13 (from 3:00 pm) to June 17 (until 11:55 pm)
- Edit Window: June 20 to June 22
- City Intimation Slip Release: July 21, 2025
- Admit Card Release: July 31, 2025
- Exam Date: August 3, 2025 (9:00 am – 12:30 pm)
- Result Announcement: On or before September 3, 2025
What Candidates Need to Know About City Selection
- During the selection process, candidates will only see cities that still have available seats.
- Cities are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s essential to act quickly.
- If your preferred city is full, you can choose the “others” option. NBEMS will then try to assign a nearby location based on the address you provided.
- NBEMS also reserves the right to add or remove cities for logistical or administrative reasons.
How to Choose Your Exam City
- Visit the official NBEMS website: nbe.edu.in
- Click on “NEET-PG 2025” under the Entrance Examination section.
- Log in using your credentials.
- Select your preferred exam city.
- Submit the form before June 17, 11:55 pm.
How to Download the City Intimation Slip
- Visit the NBEMS website.
- Go to the NEET-PG 2025 section.
- Click on “Test City Intimation Slip 2025.”
- Log in with your details.
- Download and print the slip for your reference.
Important Note
The City Intimation Slip will only tell you the city, not the specific exam centre. The exact venue will be listed on your admit card, which can be downloaded starting July 31, 2025.
Candidates should arrange their own travel and accommodation based on the final city and centre allotted.
