Mamata Banerjee gears up for 2024 Lok Sabha elections with Nitish Kumar, Hemant Soren

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren and other leaders will unite to make an opposition front for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

“I, Nitish Kumar, Hemant Soren and many others will come together in 2024. All opposition parties will join hands to defeat the BJP. All of us will be on one side and the BJP on the other. The BJP’s arrogance of 300 seats will be its nemesis. There will be ‘Khela Hobe’ in 2024,” the West Bengal Chief Minister said.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo claimed that the BJP would face a defeat because of its anger and the public’s anger. While addressing a party programme in Kolkata, Banerjee recalled the Bengali phrase ‘Khela Hobe’ (Game is on) to predict the future of the BJP.

The slogan was also used by TMC during the 2021 assembly elections, in which the party conquered BJP to get into power for the third successive term. The TMC chief slammed the BJP for bringing down the government offering 10 crores to every MLA.

“The BJP thinks they can threaten us with CBI and ED. The more they pursue such tricks, the more they will get closer to defeat in next year’s Panchayat election and 2024 Lok Sabha polls,” she added. Banerjee added that 99 per cent of TMC is clean and if one or two people do something wrong, then the law is there to deal with it.
