The Estée Lauder Companies has announced that Lisa Sequino will become the new President of its makeup brand group starting June 9.
In her new role, Sequino will lead the global strategy and growth of some of the company’s top makeup brands, including M·A·C, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Smashbox, and GLAMGLOW. She will report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer.
Sequino is returning to Estée Lauder after holding leadership roles at beauty brands JLo Beauty and Supergoop!, where she was most recently CEO. She previously worked at Estée Lauder for nine years, serving in senior roles for both global and North American markets.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lisa as the new leader of our makeup cluster,” said Hudis. “She is a powerful leader with a strong track record in building brands and driving results.”
Sequino’s return comes at a time when Estée Lauder is working to boost its makeup business after a recent 9% drop in sales during the first three months of 2025.
“I’m excited to return and help grow the makeup category,” said Sequino. “There’s a huge opportunity to connect with new consumers and drive innovation across channels and regions.”
This leadership change follows the company’s recent decision to bring in fashion expert Nicola Formichetti as Creative Director of M·A·C Cosmetics, aiming to energize the brand and attract new customers.
