HELLO, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF, WHO IS KATELYN THACKER IN YOUR OWN WORDS?
Hi, I’m Katelyn! I’m 14 years old and I’m based in Southern California. I love acting, modeling, singing, and musical theater. I also really enjoy spending time with my friends and family. In my free time, you’ll probably find me shopping, going to the beach, spending time with my friends or grabbing a smoothie at Erewhon.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PURSUE SUCH DIVERSE ARTISTIC FIELDS AND WHICH ONE DID YOU START WITH?
I started singing at the age 10 years old and did preformances, showcases, and musical theater. I got the chance to record a song at OC hits in Newport Beach,CA. All of my teachers and coaches have inspired me to pursue my career.
WHAT’S SOMETHING WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU THAT MIGHT SURPRISE US?
When I was 9 years old, I got the chance to fly to Orlando, Florida, to compete as Miss California Sweetheart in the Miss America Coed Preteen Pageant. It was such an amazing experience. Everyone I met there was so kind and encouraging. During my time there, I learned a lot about the importance of going after your dreams and being a positive role model for others. That experience motivated me to keep pursuing my goals and to encourage others along the way.
IS THERE ANYTHING EXCITING YOU ARE WORKING ON NOW?
This year, I had the incredible opportunity to model for Gala GlamZ at Los Angeles Fashion Week. The designer I modeled for was Stella M. Lia. Her dresses were absolutely gorgeous. The whole experience was so much fun! I loved getting to work with such a talented team, meeting other models and making some great memories. I was also able to join Next Big Thing Academy, it has been incredible!! I’m working on dancing, vocals, and acting, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn from such inspiring people. Everyone there is so encouraging and kind.
WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE DREAMS AND GOALS?
I’m really excited to keep growing as an artist and try new things. Whether it’s acting, singing, or modeling, I’m always looking for ways to improve and get better at what I do. One of my biggest dreams is to take on more leading roles in acting, especially in movies or TV shows. I want to inspire others to follow their passions and work hard for their dreams.
