New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has officially started the registration process for the Joint Admission Test for Master’s (IIT JAM) 2026. Interested candidates can now apply through the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
The national-level entrance exam, scheduled for February 15, 2026, offers admission to over 3,000 seats across 21 IITs in various postgraduate programs. Apart from IITs, several top institutions, including IISc Bangalore, NITs, IISERs, DIAT, IIPE, and JNCASR, will also consider IIT JAM scores for more than 2,300 additional seats, making it one of the most competitive exams for science graduates.

- Register on JOAPS using a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Use the enrolment ID and password to log in.
- Fill in academic and personal details, select test papers, and choose exam cities.
- Upload scanned copies of your photo, signature, and category certificates (if applicable).
- Pay the application fee online.
- Download and save the completed form for future reference.
About IIT JAM
The IIT JAM is conducted annually for admission into MSc, MSc-Tech, MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MS (Research), Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhD Dual Degree programs. For the 2026–27 academic session, aspirants will compete for entry into 89 postgraduate programs across leading IITs including Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Madras, Kharagpur, and Roorkee.
