The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has shared new dates for the CA Intermediate Auditing and Ethics Exam 2026. This update helps clear up any confusion after the exam was postponed earlier this month.
According to the official notice, CA Intermediate Group II, Paper 5 (Auditing and Ethics) has been moved from January 19, 2026, to January 31, 2026 (Saturday). The exam will run from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same centres as before.
ICAI has confirmed that previously issued admit cards are still valid, so candidates do not need to download a new hall ticket. The exam will go ahead as planned even if the new date falls on a public holiday.
Other CA Intermediate Exam Dates Remain Unchanged
Although the Auditing and Ethics paper has a new date, ICAI has said that all other CA Intermediate exams will follow the original schedule. The other papers will be held on January 20, 22, and 24, 2026, as planned.

To see the updated exam schedule, candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the official ICAI website at icai.org
- On the homepage, navigate to the “Announcements” section
- Click on “Revised schedule of postponed examination”
- The revised schedule for the CA Intermediate Auditing and Ethics exam will download automatically
- Save a copy for future reference
ICAI advises students to check only the official website for updates and to keep preparing based on the new schedule. Those taking the January 2026 exam should note the new date and adjust their study plans as needed.
