For Christy Marie, entrepreneurship has never been solely about building a successful business. Instead, her work across restorative aesthetics, education, and nonprofit advocacy is connected to the lessons she has learned through motherhood. As the founder of Posh Beauté and the Elevate Autism Foundation, Christy’s career allows her to serve others while remaining grounded in what matters most to her: family, compassion, and helping people feel seen.

Christy entered the world of permanent makeup in 2012. Since then, her perspective on beauty has changed. Rather than focusing primarily on aesthetic enhancement, Christy became increasingly drawn to work that could help people reclaim a sense of confidence following illness, surgery, trauma, or other major life experiences.

“My relationship with Posh Beauté has evolved as I’ve evolved. I’ve been in permanent makeup since 2012, and today I feel much more drawn to the restorative side of the work, scar revision and camouflage, areola restoration, alopecia and other services where artistry can become part of someone’s healing,” she says.

That concept is seen in Christy’s work at Posh Beauté, where she specializes in restorative and paramedical pigmentation. Her work includes procedures like scar camouflage, areola restoration following breast cancer treatment and reconstruction, and brow restoration for individuals experiencing hair loss. Each service is customized to the individual, with attention to factors such as skin characteristics, anatomy, scar tissue, and personal goals. However, for Christy, artistry is only part of the equation, as the emotional experience of her clients matters just as much. Many people who seek restorative procedures have already endured profound physical or emotional challenges. This means that creating an environment where clients feel respected, comfortable, and understood is extremely important to her approach.

Furthermore, Christy’s understanding of individualized care extends outside of her studio and into her role as an educator. Christy shares her expertise with other beauty and wellness professionals through training, speaking, and industry education, encouraging practitioners to recognize the person behind every procedure. Her goal is to help improve professional standards while bringing greater awareness to the emotional dimensions of restorative work.

Motherhood has been equally transformative in influencing how Christy views business and leadership. She is a mother of four sons, and raising children has taught her that life cannot always be organized according to a predetermined schedule. Instead, flexibility, patience, and the ability to recognize individual needs are essential parts of her personal and professional life.

“Motherhood has taught me that every child has their own timeline. I don’t need my sons to become some version of success that the world has already defined for them,” she expresses. “I want them to understand and know who they are, know that they are deeply loved, and feel confident making a life that is authentically theirs.”

This also informs the way she thinks about entrepreneurship. Christy embraces the reality that different seasons require different priorities. Her businesses, advocacy work, and family life may each demand her attention at different times, and motherhood has taught her that adapting is not a weakness, it is part of leadership. It has also influenced her definition of meaningful family time. Despite her appreciation for travel and memorable experiences, Christy values the ordinary moments that happen away from the spotlight.

“I love beautiful experiences and travel, but some of my favorite moments with my boys are incredibly simple; cooking, eating together, being outside, laughing about something ridiculous, or just being in the same space without needing to make it an event,” she says.

Her experiences as a mother of two autistic children also inspired the creation of the Elevate Autism Foundation, a growing initiative centered on advocacy, education, resources, connection, and whole-family support. Her long-term vision is to create spaces where families feel understood from the moment they arrive, where parents are heard, children are supported as individuals, and siblings are included in the conversation.

By allowing her businesses and advocacy work to evolve alongside her life, Christy has built a purpose-driven platform that reflects the woman she is: a mother, entrepreneur, founder, and advocate committed to helping others find confidence and connection.
