CBSE Asks Schools to Help with NIOS Exams in October-November 2025

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially asked its affiliated schools to support the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) in conducting exams later this year.

In a notice sent to school principals and heads, CBSE shared that NIOS will hold its next round of public exams in October and November 2025. These exams are for Class 10, Class 12, and vocational courses, and take place twice a year.

To successfully organize these exams, NIOS needs exam centres and infrastructure, which CBSE-affiliated schools are being requested to provide.

CBSE has asked interested schools to register their willingness to host the exams by filling out a form on the NIOS website:

exams.nios.ac.in → Examination Centre → Register Now

In the notice, CBSE stated, “Your assistance will help NIOS in holding Public Examinations of its learners.”

About NIOS:

NIOS is the largest open schooling system in India and operates under the Ministry of Education. It helps students from all backgrounds, especially those who may not be part of regular school systems. NIOS offers a variety of courses at the secondary (Class 10) and senior secondary (Class 12) levels, as well as vocational and life skills programs.

This move aims to ensure that all NIOS learners can appear for their exams smoothly, with the support of schools across the country.
