BITS Pilani has announced the BITSAT 2026 registration schedule, with the application window opening on December 15, 2025. Students seeking admission to the institute’s undergraduate programs can now prepare for the two-session entrance test, which follows an adaptive, computer-based format.
The application form will be available only on the official website admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. Candidates can apply for Session 1 or both sessions until March 16, 2026.
Two Exam Sessions for More Flexibility
BITS Pilani will conduct BITSAT 2026 in two rounds, allowing students to improve their performance:
- Session 1: April 15–17, 2026
- Session 2: May 24–26, 2026
Applicants may appear for one session or both, similar to the JEE Main pattern. Students who take both tests will have their best score considered for admission, giving a strategic advantage to higher-ranking aspirants.

The entire process, from filling out the application form to uploading documents and paying the fee, must be completed online. BITS Pilani has cautioned students not to trust third-party websites or agents claiming to assist with applications.
Exam Pattern: Adaptive, Challenging, and Rewarding
BITSAT 2026 will continue with its established computer-based, adaptive test format, assessing students across five key sections:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics/Biology
- English Proficiency
- Logical Reasoning
The exam consists of 130 core questions, with an option to attempt 12 bonus questions for high-performing candidates who complete the main paper early.
The marking scheme remains the same:
- +3 for every correct answer
- −1 for incorrect responses
- 0 for questions not attempted
Because of negative marking, students are advised to guess carefully and manage time efficiently.
