Actress, Writer and Director Builds on International Recognition With Recluse, Upcoming Single “ Soft Chaos,” Starstruck and New Feature Lead

LOS ANGELES, CA – Award-winning actress, writer and director Meitar Paz is marking one of the most active and creatively expansive periods of her career, with a growing slate of feature films, performance work, original music and projects spanning both traditional and emerging production technologies.

With several screen films moving toward release, a new single preparing to debut, another feature lead ahead and continued recognition for her work in front of and behind the camera, Paz continues to build on a career defined by versatility, dramatic range and an increasingly international presence.

At the center of that momentum is the feature film Recluse, in which Paz stars in the leading role of Alice. The film has already emerged as a strong presence on the international film-festival circuit, collecting awards at festivals around the world, including an impressive 14 awards at SIFF in Sweden.

The film’s expanding festival run has also brought acting recognition for Paz, adding another celebrated dramatic performance to her growing body of work.

Paz has simultaneously continued to receive individual acting honors across several projects. At the New York Movie Awards, she earned Best Actress recognition for both Invisible Flags and Time Out. Her performance in Time Out was also honored as Best International Arthouse Actress 2026 by the Production Bridge Awards.

The recognition adds to an already substantial awards history for Invisible Flags, which has accumulated numerous honors throughout its international festival journey, while Time Out continues to generate new recognition for Paz’s work.

Paz is also awaiting the release of Starstruck, a feature film in which she appears alongside Matthew Daddario, adding another notable screen credit to a résumé that continues to expand across feature films, theatre, voice performance and emerging forms of digital filmmaking.

Her recent work has also taken her into the developing world of performance capture.

For the upcoming animated feature In the Time Being, Paz performs an alien character through motion-capture and performance-capture technology, with both her physical movement and vocal performance used to help create the digitally realized character seen in the finished film.

The specialized process requires an actor to build a performance without relying on traditional sets, costumes or visual environments, instead using movement, imagination, voice and physical precision as the foundation of the character. The project reflects both Paz’s versatility as a performer and her involvement in evolving filmmaking technologies.

At the same time, Paz is expanding her creative work into music with the upcoming original single “Soft Chaos,” set for release on Spotify and other major streaming platforms.

Rather than representing a departure from her work as an actress and filmmaker, the project extends Paz’s longstanding interest in storytelling into another medium, bringing together performance, writing and music as part of an increasingly multidisciplinary creative portfolio.

Her recent schedule has also included a successful performance at Phoenix Comic Con, where Paz appeared in a live theatrical production before convention audiences. The engagement added another significant live-performance credit to a career rooted in both stage and screen and highlighted the breadth of a performer equally at home with drama, comedy, improvisation and theatrical work.

Paz is now preparing for another major screen role as the lead in the upcoming feature film Some Like the Melee, scheduled to film in Washington State, in which she will portray Adina Anderson.

The film adds another leading role to Paz’s expanding feature-film slate and continues her recent focus on substantial, performance-driven material. Paz’s professional involvement in filmmaking has also expanded beyond her own performances.

She was invited to serve as a judge for the High Five Film Festival, contributing her experience as an actress, filmmaker and industry professional to the evaluation of submitted films. The invitation reflects recognition of Paz not only as a performer, but as a creative professional whose perspective and expertise are being sought in the assessment of other filmmakers’ work.

Behind the camera, Paz continues to build her body of work as a writer, director and producer, developing a career that has never been confined to a single discipline.

Her work and career have also been featured in entertainment and culture publications, expanding her visibility as both a performer and filmmaker.

Beyond her screen work, Paz has also been selected to teach and coach actors at the Michelle Danner Acting Studio in Los Angeles, joining the faculty of a respected training institution led by renowned acting coach and filmmaker Michelle Danner. Danner’s professional history includes coaching and working with performers such as Salma Hayek, Henry Cavill, Gerard Butler, Penélope Cruz, Seth MacFarlane and Chris Rock, among others.

Paz’s selection to work with developing performers reflects another form of professional recognition, allowing her to bring her experience in acting, improvisation and performance directly into the training of emerging talent.

Taken together, Paz’s current slate illustrates the breadth of a career moving simultaneously across several areas of the entertainment industry.

Within the same professional period, she is leading feature films, receiving acting recognition, awaiting multiple screen releases, developing original music, contributing performance-capture work to an animated feature, appearing in live productions, judging the work of other filmmakers and continuing to develop projects behind the camera.

With Recluse continuing to collect awards internationally, Starstruck approaching release, “Soft Chaos” preparing to reach streaming audiences, In the Time Being expanding Paz’s work into performance capture, and Some Like the Melee adding another feature lead to her slate, Paz enters the next phase of her career with considerable momentum.

Her trajectory continues to position her as a modern multi-hyphenate — an award-winning actress at the center of an increasingly diverse body of work, as well as a writer, director, producer and creative storyteller whose career continues to move between cinema, performance, music and emerging forms of filmmaking.

“Soft Chaos” will be available on Spotify and major streaming platforms soon.

Recluse is currently continuing its international film-festival run, with further release information to be announced.

Additional release and production details for Paz’s upcoming films will be announced as they become available.
