Amina Maleck is taking on a bigger leadership role at LVMH, the world’s largest luxury group. After steadily moving up through the company, she has been named chief human resources officer for the group’s headquarters and its ‘other activities.’ Her new role starts right away.

She will report directly to Maud Alvarez-Pereyre, underscoring the importance of this position within the company.

LVMH’s headquarters is more than just an office. It connects all the group’s business areas, from fashion and leather goods to wines and spirits. The headquarters helps shape the company’s identity, culture, and future direction.

The group’s ‘other activities’ portfolio also adds complexity. This division covers culture, media, hospitality, and craftsmanship, all linked by a focus on lifestyle and creativity. Maleck will work with some of the most varied and fast-changing parts of the business.

Her main goal is to modernize and strengthen human resources, while building a culture that values engagement, development, and close connections with talent.

Maleck’s new role seems like a natural next step. She started at Louis Vuitton in 2001, working in human resources after finishing advanced studies in labor law and HR in Paris.

Over the years, she took on different roles in various regions, gaining both hands-on and strategic experience. In 2013, she joined Moët Hennessy in London, gaining more international experience.

When she returned to Louis Vuitton in 2019, she became HR director for the UK, Ireland, and South Africa. She worked to improve retail operations and to lead cultural and leadership changes across teams.

In 2022, she moved to a group-level role at LVMH, where she led talent development projects. Two years later, she became the chief HR officer at LVMH Beauty, further strengthening her reputation as a key people strategist within the company.

This appointment shows that LVMH is still focused on developing its own talent and building long-term leaders. Under Bernard Arnault, the group has always stressed that people are a key advantage, especially in an industry built on creativity and craftsmanship.

In her new job, Maleck will help shape how LVMH identifies, develops, and retains talent across its most important divisions. Her experience shows she focuses on building strong cultures and matching people strategy with business growth.

Maud Alvarez-Pereyre mentioned this in the official announcement, noting Maleck’s long commitment to talent development and organizational effectiveness as key strengths she brings to the job.
