Alana Kwarta to Lead Supergoop!’s Next Phase of Growth and Culture
Supergoop! Appoints Alana Kwarta as First Chief Human Resources Officer.

Supergoop! is putting people and culture at the heart of its next chapter, bringing on Alana Kwarta as its first-ever Chief Human Resources Officer. She officially stepped into the role on March 16, marking a meaningful shift in how the brand is shaping its future.

This is more than a new title. As Supergoop! As a brand moves from fast growth to a mature, scaled organisation, an enterprise-level people strategy becomes critical.

Kwarta will work closely with the executive leadership team to:

  • Shape organizational design
  • Build scalable operating rhythms
  • Lead company-wide transformation initiatives

The mandate is clear: align people, culture, and performance with long-term business growth.

Kwarta brings over two decades of experience from influential beauty brands. Before joining Supergoop!, she was SVP of HR for L’Oréal’s dermatological beauty division, leading talent strategy for CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, Vichy, SkinCeuticals, and Skinbetter Science.

Her earlier experience at Chanel further strengthens her understanding of high-performance cultures within premium and luxury environments.

CEO Melis del Rey, who assumed the role in December, is building a leadership team designed for the future.

The creation of a Chief Human Resources Officer role reflects a broader realization:
in today’s competitive landscape, talent and culture are not support functions—they are strategic assets.

Kwarta’s appointment comes with other key leadership moves, including hiring Lauren Weinberg as Chief Marketing Officer earlier this year. These changes reflect a deliberate effort to strengthen the company’s C-suite as it scales.

Kwarta’s philosophy is rooted in intentional growth, building systems, leadership models, and workplace cultures that enable people to perform at their best.

This aligns with a broader industry trend where:

  • Organizational design impacts speed and innovation
  • Culture drives retention and performance
  • Leadership alignment determines scalability

Supergoop! is not just investing in people; it’s operationalizing culture as a growth lever.

With strong brand momentum and a clear mission in the sun-care category, Supergoop! is entering a phase where execution matters as much as vision.

Alana Kwarta’s role will be pivotal in ensuring that, as the company grows it does so with:

  • Clarity in structure
  • Strength in leadership
  • Consistency in culture

For Supergoop!, this is not just about building a bigger company; it is about building a better one.
