HELLO BEA MARIE CORRAL, WELCOME TO ABOUT INSIDER! WHAT GOT YOU INTO ENTERTAINMENT THAT MADE YOU REALIZE THAT IT WAS YOUR CHOSEN PATH?
I started performing at a young age through a children’s music group in Europe, where I recorded songs, filmed music videos, and sang live at festivals. Additionally, I began booking TV commercials, which gave me valuable experience acting on camera and being part of a professional set.

WHAT KIND OF TRAINING HAVE YOU RECEIVED SO FAR AHEAD OF IPOP!?
I’ve been training professionally since a young age. I began with professional dance lessons at the age of four, which helped build a strong foundation in movement and stage presence. I later added professional vocal training and acting classes to further develop my performance skills. Currently, I’m continuing my artistic growth as a student at New World School of the Arts high school, where I receive daily instruction in music, theatre, and acting. This consistent training has helped me prepare for opportunities like iPOP! and beyond.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE ROLES YOU’VE BEEN INVOLVED IN – AT SCHOOL AND BEYOND?
One of the things I love most about performing is stepping into different characters and discovering new sides of myself through each role. While I’m still early in my journey, I’ve been fortunate to take part in projects that allowed me to explore a range of emotions and styles, whether through school showcases, musical theatre scenes, or professional workshops. Each opportunity has helped me grow, and I’m especially drawn to characters who are vibrant, complex, or a little unexpected. I’m excited to continue building on that experience and diving even deeper into future roles.

WHAT ACCENTS AND DIALECTS CAN YOU DO?
Since I attended a British school for seven years, I’m really comfortable doing a British accent. I also lived in Slovakia, so I can do an Eastern European accent naturally as well. I love exploring different accents and how they can shape a character’s personality and background.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE PROJECTS THAT YOU TYPICALLY PREFER?
I really enjoy working on both stage and screen projects, and I’m always excited to explore new experiences in each. Being on stage gives me a special kind of energy—it’s live and immediate, and I love connecting with an audience in real time. At the same time, I’m also really drawn to on-camera work, especially because I’ve had some experience with TV commercials and being on set, which I find really exciting. As for genres, I love stories that have emotional depth—whether it’s drama or something more light-hearted, as long as there’s a real connection to the character, I’m in.

HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR AN AUDITION?
When I prepare for an audition, I like to start by really understanding the character—how they think, feel, and what they want. If I’m given sides or a script, I read it several times to get a clear sense of the story and the relationships. I’ll practice the lines out loud and experiment with different ways of delivering them until it feels natural. If it’s a musical audition, I warm up my voice and go over my song with attention to both the vocals and the acting behind the lyrics. I also make sure I’m physically warmed up and focused so I can walk in with confidence and be fully present in the moment.

HAS THERE BEEN ONE PARTICULAR MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE SO FAR THAT YOU’RE MOST PROUD OF?
I’m very proud of how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown as a performer. I’ve worked really hard on developing my skills in singing, acting, and dancing, and I continue to push myself every day. A recent moment that really stands out for me was the summer 2025 iPOP event in Los Angeles, where I won 11 awards in various categories. It meant so much for me to see my hard work getting recognized, and I’m truly grateful for every opportunity that has helped me get to this point.

WHO ARE YOUR INFLUENCES GROWING UP THAT HELPED TO MOLD YOU INTO WHO YOU ARE TODAY?
One of my biggest influences growing up has always been my mom. She’s been by my side through everything—believing in me, encouraging me, and making so many sacrifices so I could chase my dreams. Her support means the world to me and has shaped so much of who I am today, both as a person and as a performer.

Another major influence is my vocal coach. Not only has she helped me grow and strengthen my voice, but she’s also someone I really look up to. She inspires me with her passion, dedication, and the way she pushes me to always keep learning and improving. I’m so thankful to have such strong and positive women guiding me.

IF YOU HAD ONE MESSAGE TO GIVE TO YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
If I could give one message to myself, it would be to trust the process and never give up because everything happens for a reason. I actually touched on this in my first original song, because it’s something I truly believe. Even when things feel uncertain or challenging, you have to believe in yourself and keep moving forward. Every step, even the hard ones, is part of the journey that’s shaping you into who you’re meant to be.

IF YOU WEREN’T A PASSIONATE ACTOR, WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU BE DOING?
If I weren’t a passionate actor, I know I’d still be doing something meaningful. I’ve always felt deeply about helping people and animals, so I would definitely dedicate my life to those who need it most. I’d most likely go to medical school or veterinary school, because being able to heal, comfort, and make a difference in someone’s life, whether human or animal, would be incredibly fulfilling for me.

WHAT IS ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE YOURSELF?
If I had to choose one word to describe myself, it would be ‘compassionate.’ I truly care about the people and world around me, and I always try to lead with empathy—whether I’m performing on stage, working with others, or just being there for someone who needs support. Kindness is powerful, and compassion takes it a step further by really understanding and connecting with others on a deeper level.

WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE ACTORS AND SINGERS TODAY?
Some of my favorite actors are Zendaya and Jennifer Lawrence. Zendaya inspires me with how versatile and grounded she is—she’s incredibly talented and still so connected to her values. Jennifer Lawrence is amazing because she brings so much authenticity and honesty to her roles, and she’s not afraid to be real, which I really admire.

For singers, I really look up to Ariana Grande and Alicia Keys. Ariana’s vocal talent and work ethic are next-level, and Alicia Keys is not only an incredible artist but also such a strong advocate for self-love and kindness. I find inspiration in people who are amazing at what they do and also use their voice for something meaningful.

DO YOU PLAY ANY SPORTS OR INSTRUMENTS?
Before discovering my love for singing, acting, and dancing, I enjoyed trying out different activities to see what truly inspired me. I spent several years figure skating and also trained in gymnastics, both of which helped me develop strength, coordination, and discipline. Winter sports have always held a special place in my heart, especially because of my early experiences on the ice.

As for instruments, I’ve been learning and expanding my skills on the piano. It’s a beautiful instrument that really helps me connect to music in a different way, and I love how it pushes me creatively.

WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM JOB BE?
My dream job on TV would be to play a strong, complex character in a series that really allows me to grow as an actress. I love roles that have emotional depth and give me the chance to fully step into someone else’s world. Whether it’s drama or something more adventurous, I’d love to be part of a story that moves people and makes an impact. I would also love to incorporate my passion for singing into it whenever possible, since music is such a big part of who I am.

FOR FUN! IF YOU WENT BACK TO THE GOLDEN ERA OF HOLLYWOOD, WHICH ACTOR DO YOU RESONATE WITH MOST AND WHY?
If I could go back to the golden era of Hollywood, I think I would resonate most with Audrey Hepburn. From everything I’ve learned about her, she wasn’t just a talented actress with timeless elegance, she was also incredibly kind, humble, and dedicated to helping others. I admire how she balanced her career with purpose, using her voice to support causes she believed in.

WHAT IS YOUR THING TO DO WITH YOUR FRIENDS?
One of my favorite things to do with my friends is just hang out, laugh, and be ourselves, whether we’re shopping, having a movie night, or goofing around while making TikTok’s. I love being around people who make me feel happy and understood. It doesn’t really matter what we’re doing, as long as we’re together, it’s always a good time.

HAVE YOU SET ANY 2025 PROFESSIONAL GOALS TO ACHIEVE?
Yes, I’ve definitely set some professional goals for 2025. One of my biggest goals is to continue growing as an actress and book a role in a film or TV project that really challenges me. I also want to keep developing my voice and release more original music—I’ve started writing, and I’m excited to share more of my own stories through song. Overall, I just want to keep learning, improving, and taking steps toward building the career I’ve always dreamed of.

WHAT DID YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT ATTENDING IPOP!?
What I loved most about attending iPOP! was the incredible energy and support from everyone there. Being surrounded by so many talented and passionate people was so inspiring, it really pushed me to give my best. I also loved the opportunity to perform, meet amazing industry professionals, and grow not just as a performer, but as a person. One of the highlights for me was the final showcase, where I got cast as Glinda, it was such a fun and memorable experience. I also really enjoyed the final awards ceremony; it was such a special way to celebrate everything we had worked so hard for.
