Meet Claire Thompson, A Young Performer with Heart, Humor, and Drive

Artist Claire Thompson

At just nine years old, Claire Thompson already radiates the confidence and joy of someone born to perform. Known for her expressive presence and natural flair for drama, Claire brings energy, warmth, and humor to every stage she steps onto, whether under bright theatre lights or in everyday life.

When she is not performing, Claire channels that same determination into athletics, proudly defending the goal line as a competitive soccer player with G2016 Rush Union. Her creative life extends beyond acting as well, she studies both piano and voice, nurturing a deep love for music and storytelling that continues to shape her artistic voice.

Over the past year, Claire discovered a true passion for acting through her local children’s theatre, Off Broadway for Children’s Theatre. There, she recently took on the role of Tessie in “Annie Jr.”, a performance that further solidified her love for the stage.

Her dream role? Stepping into the spotlight as Annie herself when the show is performed again, a goal that perfectly reflects her enthusiasm for storytelling and performance.

Beyond theatre, Claire is excited to explore opportunities in commercials, modeling (fashion, runway, and print), television, and voice-over work.

Finding Her Spark

Claire’s journey into entertainment began at home. She shares that her love of performing grew from making her little sister, Savannah, laugh. That simple joy of entertaining someone she loves sparked a passion that has quickly grown into a serious pursuit.

Training and Preparation

In preparation for famed iPOP! (International Presentation of Performers), Claire has immersed herself in professional training across multiple disciplines, building a strong foundation in acting, modeling, and voice. Her training includes audition techniques, monologue work, improv, commercial acting, cold reading, self-taping, and acting preparation through respected online programs such as National Performer’s Academy, NYLA Talent, and SCSOPA. She has also trained in facial expression, body posing, commercial modeling, and runway fundamentals through Bella Modeling School.

In addition, Claire studies voice-over with LAMDA online and continues her vocal and piano training at North Fulton School of Music, developing both her musical and performance skills.

Favorite Roles and Performance Style

So far, Claire’s favorite roles include Tessie in “Annie Jr.” and Gill in “Nemo Jr.”. While she does not yet perform accents or dialects, she is eager to learn and expand her range.

When asked whether she prefers stage, television, or screen work, Claire shares that she does not have a preference yet. With stage experience already under her belt, she is excited to explore all types of projects and discover where her talents can grow.

Proud Moments and Personal Growth

One of Claire’s proudest moments came not on stage, but on the soccer field. During a recent game, she was hit in the face with a soccer ball, resulting in a bloody nose. Normally, she admits she tends to shut down when hurt or facing adversity. This time, however, she recovered, returned to the pitch, and helped her team win the match. It is an experience she plans to draw strength from when facing setbacks in her performance journey, including auditions that do not result in callbacks.

Inspiration and Aspirations

Claire draws inspiration from young performers who balance emotional depth with authenticity, including Jenna Ortega, Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink, and Maya Hawke.

Her dream job? Appearing in a Disney television series or lending her voice to a Disney animated film, a goal that aligns perfectly with her love of acting, music, and voice-over work.

Life Beyond the Spotlight

Offstage, Claire describes herself in one word: bubbly. She loves spending time with friends through sleepovers, making home movies, and playfully annoying her friend’s younger brother. She plays piano, takes voice lessons, and treasures both singing and competing with her soccer team.

As for food she will never eat? A friend’s soup recipe called “Veggie Mush,” which she confidently declares “disgusting.”

Looking Ahead to 2026 and iPOP!

Claire has already set professional goals for 2026, including earning her first IMDb credit. At iPOP!, she is especially excited about participating in the Modeling Showcase and dressing up for the Gala, embracing the chance to shine in both performance and presentation.

She lives by a simple yet powerful affirmation: “I am unique and I am strong.” It is a message that perfectly captures her mindset as she steps into the next chapter of her creative journey.

With talent, resilience, and a joyful spirit well beyond her years, Claire Thompson is a young performer to watch as she continues to grow, learn, and light up every stage she encounters.
